stevasaurus 22,227 #3 Posted April 1, 2020 Seriously, this is good news. We still have 20 states that have done nothing, and the only defense we have at this point is to lock down. If we all take this seriously and do it...maybe we will not be in lock down as long. We had 7 deaths to this virus in Kane County, Ill as of this morning. 8 deaths in the county just south of me (DuPage). 4/1/20 4/3/20 Kane 8 DuPage 14 4/6/20 Kane 15 DuPage 22 4/8/20 KANE 18 DuPage 26 4/9/20 Kane 19 DuPage 30 4/15/20 Kane 24 DuPage 61 4/17/20 Kane 26 DuPage 69 4/21/20 Kane 31 DuPage 90 4/23/20 Kane 37 DuPage 103 4/26/20 Kane 39 DuPage 127 4/30/20 Kane 45 DuPage 142 5/4/20 Kane 57 DuPage 192 5/8/20 Kane 78 DuPage 228 5/12/20 Kane 90 DuPage 251 5/14/20 Kane 98 DuPage 273 5/20/20 Kane 120 Dupage 315 5/25/20 Kane 152 DuPage 340 6/3/20 Kane 188 DuPage 380 6/5/20 Kane 198 DuPage 392 6/10/20 Kane 221 DuPage 411 6/18/20 Kane 240 DuPage 435 2

I was at the store and you see entire families out there because the say it is okay to go out and get what you need. In my mind every person you add to a group multiplies the odds of contraction. It is unreal how many people don't understand the gravity of this situation, or just don't want to believe it! 3 5

roadapples 6,981 #7 Posted April 1, 2020 Was at Hershey Medical Center this morning. 50 some mile up route 15 and around Harrisburg. Basically no traffic. Like driving on Christmas morning. I have to go once a week for blood tests and dressing change on my pic line. Doctor has taken me off some meds to get my immune system back up that's down from the chemo. I'm high risk but I feel great.....never though anything would be scarier than cancer.. 6 4

I fully expect us not get back to some degree of normal until August or so. I still have to physically go into the office once a week, but I am working from home most days beyond that. Achto 26,440 #11 Posted April 2, 2020 Wisconsin has been on "lock down" since March 23. Quite frankly I don't think that the these lock downs are tight enough. My job has been deemed as "essential" so I'm exposed to over 200 people every day at work. As far as the rest of life - We're not able to go to large event, a tavern or eat at a restaurant other than that everyone can conduct life as normal. Guess what... our infected numbers are still climbing. Best we can do is pray for an end to this pandemic,

c-series don 7,748 #14 Posted April 2, 2020 Okay here’s my thoughts on this in my area. I live on the south fork of Long Island,AKA The Hamptons (by the way I hate that term) Citiots from New York City came out here to their summer mansions and have decimated our supply of almost everything. Along the way they brought the virus with them and now our hospitals are now overwhelmed. What these people don’t know or even care about is our ambulance and fire service is volunteer. Most of you here know I am one of them. Some of these people came out here knowing they had the virus and now call the ambulance thinking that will expedite them to a room in the hospital. That will not happen. So many of us are afraid to go on calls now mainly because of other people’s disregard for others well being. On a happy note locals are taking care of locals. Last week I got my firehouse to purchase lunch from a local deli and I was happy to deliver it to the staff at the ER hospital. I’m president of the local community association as well and we will be doing the same thing this week. I’m bringing food to the hospital on Friday. I am not doing this for an atta boy or pat on the back I’m just doing this to try to counter balance the idiots that don’t care for others. Be well my Red Square friends, people like us here make and will keep America great! God bless. 1 5

Ed Kennell 35,483 #16 Posted April 2, 2020 (edited) Just got back from the grocery store. I took Mrs. K and her 95yo mother that still lives alone. We were there waiting for the doors to open for the 6-7AM seniors only hours. We were scrubbed, sanitized, and masked before we left home and while we were shopping. Unlike last week during normal hours, very few people were there and we were able to get everything we needed including water and the elusive TP. There were limits of 2 gallon of water and 2- 6 packs of TP. Except for the cold items, everything including our outer clothes were left outside and will stay there and only be brought inside as needed. Everything we bring inside is scrubbed and sanitized. PLEASE Help stop the spread Stay Calm Stay Home Stay Safe Edited April 2, 2020 by Ed Kennell 10 1
stevasaurus 22,227 #17 Posted April 2, 2020 Well yesterday 4/1/20 we had 20 states that were not in lock down. Today 4/2/20 I heard that we have 6 or 8...I heard both. At least Florida figured it out after much pressure. 8ntruck 6,356 #18 Posted April 2, 2020 No idea what the governor of Mo. is thinking. My wife and I are here in our 'winter quarters'. We had hoped to go to our 'summer quarters' in Michigan this week. Not going to happen now for at least a month. We will see what things look like then. My wife and I have been basically self isolating for the last couple of weeks, regardless of what the state is doing, or not doing. 7 1

Blackhood Bill 720 #20 Posted April 2, 2020 The commissioners of Howard county, Indiana has placed a ban on sales of non-essential items. House decor, furniture, etc....... We are also on a stay at home order minus essential personnel. I’m a security officer for a hospital and we have to wear a mask all the times while at work.
