I think 12 HP Kohler’s have been used in Wheel Horses from 1966 up to 1999 or so...or whenever the last 312 was built.
We’re going to need more info or a pic.

Maybe we can play 20 questions...

Is this an automatic or standard transmission?

Does this have black on the hood?

What kind of PTO lever is on it?

does this have a front tach-a-matic or does the deck belt go straight down from the PTO bell?

So if the motor is original it’s a C-121 8 speed. This model was produced in 1978 and 1979.

There is probably a tag just under the dash board on the tower.

The model and serial may be in an odd location.

This photo is taken standing at the left front wheel looking back toward the rear of the tractor. This is a 1978 Auto model.

Pictures showed up for me.

It's an 8 speed.  Looks like it has a clutch pedal on the left and a brake pedal on the right.  There is a cover on the frame tunnel. Looks like the pto is incomplete.

Early C series?

A quick wander through tractor data.com suggests a C 121.

In 1978 instead of mounting the engines directly to the frame they were mounted to a cradle (steel plate). That cradle was mounted to the frame using 4 rubber mounts to reduce vibration.
