It was HOT and sticky outside but we still managed some seat time on several of Richie’s machines… Zach enjoying another GT-14 besides Blackbeard! Skittles is a sweet machine! Judge liked Karen’s Tractor—that M20 has some power for sure! I drove several including the Heston articulated machine. The cab/sunshade was really nice today👍🏻 Caleb is reunited with Skittles after three years. It brought back a lot of memories from our visit to the BS back in 2018! Thanks Richie for being a great host! The fellowship was wonderful and the whole family enjoyed ice cream at the Creamery! Always fun to connect with fellow RS members🙌🏻😎. Is it just my poor eyesight or does the engine closest to the driver connect on the PTO clutch? I guess if they run pretty darn close you might not have too much trouble. Seems like it would run the governors crazy... i’ve seen before where the large multi engine pulling tractor owners have been asked how they synchronize the engines. The answer was that they do not because the individual engines just pull against whatever load is applied and they don’t care what the other engine is doing. We ran dual McCullough 2-stokes on a single live axle (yeah, it could spin the rears if he was too heavy on the throttle in the corners). We never did more than "that sounds about right" to sync the engines using adjusting screws on the throttle linkages. There were other (better funded) teams that tried split axles (one engine per) with the idea that it would be better in the corners. They used a synchronizer in the throttle linkages. For short moves like that never even have to get off the tractor. Drive up to the boat, lift her up drive out.... sweep the stall ...drive her back in...... As usual with a new acquisition, I hid it from my wife until I could sell another red tractor. Then, out of the blue, inspiration hit: I presented it to her as 'her' tractor. It worked!
