@c-series don  Maybe this was discussed before….but is that a 60” deck on a non-swept axle tractor?

@ebinmaine went there once in August and froze our asses off! Not kidding, base of the mountain comfortable in a long sleeve shirt, took the cog railroad to the top(I brought a jacket) the guys working on the building up there were in coveralls, wool hats and gloves.

We're going up on the Cog Saturday.

Looks like the daytime high will be just below freezing. 🥶

Might have to wear 2 layers. 😀

@Sparky Yes that’s a 416-H with a 60” deck, but 6” factory front wheels. Some came that way because they made a 37” side discharge deck with two blades and it had a crazy offset or stagger so the 6” front wheels gave it enough room. Well as it turns out it also gives enough room for a 60” deck and the ability to turn about 95% without the wheels rubbing the deck. My yard is mostly open so it’s not really an issue for me. I can turn 100% it just rubs a little, not enough to bind up or anything though. I mow pretty much weekly in the season so I’m not cutting tall grass with it and the 16hp does just fine turning that big deck!

How many 520’s do you have ?

Actually, none right now.  Those pic's are all of the same 1993 520 I had for 19 years.  Bought it used in '96 and sold it in 2015.   Just have the 67 1077 I'm restoring now, plus my Kubota BX.

Hiked up once. On the last stretch through snow and freezing rain we could barely see from cairn to cairn traversing the Alpine Meadow section. I have a photo of my ice-coated beard and eyebrows as I leaned into the wind. But we had a LOT of fun!

I like the "tall" but I know from experience the out-turned tip would puff in ya face when walking by.

Got some cutting done with the old 310-8. The cracked exhaust is driving me batty. I’ll have to track down a new one.

You could shortened it up a bit but I like it. I have a Kemp and have been really happy with it.You can get a tip that's not Crome, looks great too.

I ocasonally get smoke in my face, depending on the wind, but I don't care.

I can't tell for sure, but it looks like the fenders are on backward. The seat spring should curve forward and then up and the lift cable should be under the left side of the tool box.

Hey,

Where did you get that muffler from if you dont mind me asking. Looks like it might be a good answer.

Do you think it would flow enough for the 16 horse K341?

Cheers

Looks like one from here.

Certainly would flow enough for a K341.

I have one on my own 75 C160 Automatic.

It came with the tractor along with a bunch of parts. I can look closer tonight and see if there is a brand name on it

Could it be this one?

Muffler for Kohler Tecumseh Fits Briggs and Stratton Reversible Inlet / Outlet | eBay

It looks correct but I dunno about the sizes.

Cheers
