I am looking for a deck. Where can I find one used in good condition to be shipped to Miami? I have searched internet, specifically eBay, and found this but not sure if it(R5-38SL02) fits or not in my mower: https://www.ebay.com/itm/184119902476?ul_noapp=true Any one can help me? Tractorhead 8,604 #3 Posted February 13, 2020 Hi and Welcome to For using a mowerdeck, it seems to me there is missing firstly a PTO Clutch, to drive the Mower deck itself. but i don‘t know much about the XL‘s On the Vertical engines, it is normally below the Transmissions belt, i see on your Horse just a pipe, that is screwed in instead. maybe i‘m wrong, but most vertical Engine mower systems i know, they have an electric or manually driven PTO here. gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,489 #4 Posted February 14, 2020 Welcome to the forum. The R5-38SL02 is a 1992 recycler deck used on the models 212-5 and 212-H lawn tractors. Have no way of knowing if it could be made work on a 2008 tractor. Here is a parts list so you can compare. The mower deck is included in the illustrated parts list for the tractor and do not know if it had a model number. Get the XL Lawn Tractor Service Manual On page 56 Picts MVC-001F you can see the missing pulley. on XL Series it seems there is no Clutch just a pulley on the Engine, what wonders, but however. another thing i miss on your tractor are the linkages for the deck. you can see in pict MVC-0021 and pict. MVC-0023 aside the frame. It looked to me a PO has removed the mower section and use it maybe just as a puller. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
