Some front wheels. Maybe an engine. Easy fix. 15-20 minutes max.

:D

Do you have any specific formula or plans for this rig?

At the moment I'm trying to figure out why the trans locks up after it rolls 12". It rolls in neutral but when it goes in gear and you turn the drive pulley it locks up. Other than that I believe I have some front rims and tires and maybe a Briggs to go on it

Every tractor needs a good home, glad she's found one.  I am no expert on Speedex tractors but I am seeing a giant single cylinder engine skinny fronts tires and some big meats on the back.

There will be updates later tonight. Made some progress this afternoon. Hope the purists don't get mad at me. I had to drill 2 new holes and used a newer Briggs 8hp

One of many things I like of Speedex: simple designs, easy to fix or modify.

Well I managed to scrounge up some stuff for the Speedex today with everything else going on. Front wheels are on but still need to make some bushings for them. Figured I would put a different seat on too.

The pulley I used was like the one on the tire. Turned it down a bit. I think it will work just fine. Gotta use what comes along to keep the cost down.

Had to swap the choke butterfly out for one that would work with a cable. Also rerouted the muffler a bit. Still have to come up with something for an air cleaner

@ebinmaine Here is some more of that high tech metal bending. Had time to bend up a belt guard before calling it quits

belt guard

Is this a similar system to a Wheelhorse?

Belt GUARD is the belt GUIDE as well?

Yup. I ended up pulling the shifter. Somewhere along the way someone had it out for some reason and put it back in wrong. One of the tell tail signs was 3 different types of  bolts holding it in place

Glad to hear the transmission was an easy fix!

And all the other stuff..... you do nice work!

When I get a minute, I am going to look at my Speedex 1631 or maybe just a parts diagram to see if the belt guard is also a belt guide..... I think it is.
