Pullstart

It looks great!  I’ve always wanted to build a 34 Ford in the same manner more or less, but we’ll see if that’ll work out some day.  It’s sounding like pulling the engine in this truck will be better off done with the cab lifted, so that’s the plan.  I’ve heard of complete frame swaps being done in 12 hours with these things from the southern states!

Talked to the man doing my car this week, plans to have the final coat or primer on it

by the end of the week. Has been blocking the body and says it is looking pretty good.

Will probably run down there tomorrow, hav to take a couple of pieces down.

Looking great Howie...the moment I saw that painted front clip I thought of a car I saw at GTO Nats a few years ago in person....

The legendary Royal Auto drag car.  You don’t have to look too far on YouTube to see this car running passes that dip into the 10 second range at over 115 mph👍🏻

Can’t wait to see the next round of pictures of your car!!!!

Since it close will have to go back tomorrow and look at the

rest of it. I knew it was close to this point but was not exactly

sure on the exact day.

I was just taking the hood hinges back down to him.

Looking Great Howie!:greetings-clappingyellow:  this is the fun part of the build, when every piece that you place on the vehicle puts you one step closer to a driving, classic piece of history. It seems like yesterday, although it has been almost exactly 20 years, since I walked into the body shop and saw my Goat looking just like that👍🏻.  I was so excited!!!

This color has always been hard for me to describe. Pontiac calls it

Palomino Copper but to me it is not a true copper either. Years ago

the ones I saw did not  shine like this new paint does.

Can be difficult for the p a painter as Dupont and Sikkens does not

have this formula in their database.  At any rate I expect the bumper

to be on this week.

Thanks guys, this car has come out a lot better than my original vision for it.

There is very little repo stuff on it, had the vision to buy GM stuff for it.

Of course I was buying this stuff in the late 80's. Rear bumper is a GM part

I bought in maybe 87, still has the part" on a sticker on the back side. He

sprayed clear over it.

I have fought with the rear brakes on this car. Could get no brake fluid to the back.

Eveerything is new so I thought it would be a cake walk. Not! Turns out it was some-

thing in the master cylinder. Have had it to long to return and bought it from a vendor

at one of the shows. But as of 11am this morning I finally have brakes.

Started to think maybe I was losing it.

I have had the car back here 3 weeks now and am trying to get stuff done so it can

go to upholstery shop.

Post an update on this, have been waiting on the upholstry shop. Thought my car was on

his list to get in and not wanting to be a pain in the neck did not call all the time.

So yesterday it was hauled away fom here to have the rest of the interior done. Hopefully

in a couple of week it will be done if he is accurate to what he said. Think a couple of other

cars got in ahead of mine in this process because I wasn't the squeaky wheel.
