Thanks Norm.

No paint for this one yet.

Gonna try it out for a few months and see how it goes.

I've a feeling I'll like plowing snow with it.

If so we'll clean her up next year and throw some paint at it.

Transmission is installed and rear wheels on.

These are the same wheels I use on Cinnamon Horse for shows. I'll run them for a few weeks.

For snow duty it'll get the 4 heavy weight loaded wheels and tires.

Measures 40" across the outside of the tires. Nothing like a wide rear end!!!

“Fat Bottom Girls” just popped in my head!

Great work EB, that thing’ll plow marvelously!

that thing....

Trina wants to put some serious focus on sanding the great room floor this weekend instead of doing outside work so I'll spend some time on the Charger I hope.

There was a suggestion I saw somewhere about making a plow with a hydraulic power angle. I think it was @mr biggs that wrote it. And then I got thinking... There was a point in time where I had another hydraulic cylinder laying around....

60-in wide plow with four-way power....

Well now...

That would be so amazing!  Coming from a snow plow business owner operator, being able to direct the plow direction on the fly is a night and day difference in plow performance!  I could see a dual lever valve plumbed in... a small spool valve could even have that float action we were talking about the other day!

I think Eric is permitly on Float, we can't get him in gear. Two years now on the Charger and over a year on Colossus It's about time he get's one running.

Besides it's been less than a year...

Did a little more cleaning up on the hydro today. Got the tractor down on it's own four tires. Moved it over a few feet so My Honey can fire up the basement wood stove when needed.

Still to do:

Finish hydro and hose/lift installation.

Better secure the battery.

Install choke and throttle cables.

Remove, relocate muffler out 45° or so.

Install seat.

As far as you had it taken down, I'm surprised that your paint department didn't make it all shiny! :hide:

Looking forward to seeing it moving around under its own power.

It's been December since I sent you the coil so you're coming up on a year pretty quick!

We thought about painting it.

I want to make sure it's a good running keeper and permanent part of the fleet first. And she's been so busy working on other things we figured to wait til others were caught up.

I drove it around the backyard a little before disassembly to be sure the hydro was functional. I'm looking forward to putting some real seat time on it and giving it a good workout.

Not too much left to do now!!

Got a little more done this evening.

Took the dash out and installed that end of the choke and throttle cables.

Also put in a hydro pump piece that is needed to run the lift. @Stepney supplied it from the Raider he got the lift from.

Not sure what it's called. Spring and a cone that sits behind a bolt head on the pump.

That machine was a 1968 Charger 9. And I believe they call it the implement relief bypass cone?
