Super-C 4 me

it will with a 520 extension,

You need this with a swept axle

Adds some length to the plow frame

And you really want a 48" or wider blade... 42" when angled will let snow or dirt back under the front tire(s) while plowing snow or grading.

Well, too late now...I bought a 42 inch blade. Dab nab it ! What are the two pieces in the above picture showing the extension parts (far right and long crooked piece at bottom) ? Because I got the piece that extends the two main rails, but I didn't get the piece that looks like a 1 inch square tubing with a piece of flat bar welded to the side (far right of pic), or the long crooked piece.

Has anybody ever extended a 42 inch blade out 3 inches on each side successfully ?

Good to hear, because I have a friend who is a welder, machinist, blacksmith, and artist whose medium is metal. But what are the two pieces mentioned above that I did not get...if you know, and would be so gracious as to tell me🙂

520 extension on left

the bracket on the far right of the picture is were the lift attaches to the plow

the crooked piece is the handle that angles the plow blade

Yes as the first blade I bought was a 42" as well and my father worked in a sheet metal factory that could roll and break heavy gauge steel and when said and done blade was 50" wide... Now I have a 54"... As you can see in the pic the side extensions were welded on at the back next the strengthening rib.

#WVHillbilly520H...can you give me a picture(maybe hand drawn) if you have too, of the cross section piece( brighter red ) on your picture, as your blade rails lay across your tailgate ? This appears to be a piece of maybe 2 x 2 x 1/4 " wall  square tubing that slides in between the two main rails and has a piece of maybe 1/4" x 2" flat bar welded to it at a 90° angle that bolts onto the permanent piece that would be utilized with a short frame tractor, or does anyone reading this know any member who may have one for sale ?

Does anybody know where I can get a wider " scraper" blade for the bottom of the blade ? I may as well get a 48 inch or bigger, if I am going to widen my blade out I would like to fabricate it so the carriage bolt holes would match.

Just remember you'll need the different angle from seat lever as well I'll try and you that too... Maybe this will help ...

WVHillbilly520H...I have everything except the angled lever that allows you to pivot the blade from the seat. The connecting rod between the lever and blade may need to be straightened a bit as I have noticed already when I pull it more straight with my hand it allows the small release lever at the top of the handle that pulls the wires that moves the triangle pivot point to work the spring loaded plunger rod to work easier. I am definitely going to have to straighten out some wires, rods, etc. What size would you widen the blade to , to keep snow or dirt from getting past the blade and under the front tires when the blade is fully angled. I have been it touch with Lowell already about the piece I need and was thinking about fabricating. By the time I buy the metal stock, pay my buddy a little something for his welder and help, paint, travel time, etc, Lowell may be the better way to go. But like I said...what width would you do on the blade ? Considering I would like to widen it to accommodate a factory scraper for the bottom of the blade...

And you say 48 inches is wide enough to keep snow/ dirt/ gravel from getting under the front wheels ?

Yes mine did but I didn't use it every year and it was made from an old truck leaf spring

Yes 48" was the one most commonly paired with 1990 and newer TORO Wheel Horse garden tractors the 520s being the biggest of the classic series... But mine came out to just at 50"
