To think I was hoping to see some superior bucks, instead I get under-barn pests :ROTF:  I love this forum!  One minute we’re talking about the hunt, next we’re talking about the cost of fair trade metric crescent wrenches!

@pullstart      Now that we are way off topic @AMC RULES    we had a serious problem last fall with those chipmunks running rampant all over here, the worst part is all the holes created around the foundation when there are 100's of acres out back for them to free range on, its a good thing 22 ammo is back on the shelves.

I’m glad to see the shortage is no longer an issue... but my Red Ryder BB gun pops the chipmunks just fine too :handgestures-thumbupright:

We will harvest a few meat doe next week Jim.   Pa has a 3 day doe only rifle season for under 16 and over 65 hunters.  I may be over qualified.

We're only allowed one buck here in Pa, so I'll hold out for a good one.

Last year I got issued six doe tags for gun or bow so lots of them around here. Fact when Dan an I were headed over to the plow field last Sat. we jumped at least ten of them.  We can get one buck tag for bow and one for gun. Three inch spikes or better.  Thanks for the reminder I should go get some tags.

Close enough for my little .22 break barrel Beeman to call a meese.

Pict above showed it's good side.   :greetings-clapyellow:

The only mouses I like are dead ones.  My peanut butter log roller bucket trap has been pretty effective lately. Of course, they need a refill on the can once in a while ...

Them are wicked handy.

My first full-time job out of high school was at a pallet factory.

My buddy Jeff and I applied at the same time and were both hired.

I was put on a pallet disassembly machine and Jeff became a yard laborer.

The owner of the company had an interesting sense of humor at times.

One day I noticed a couple times that Jeff was just kind of wandering around.

At one point he came up to me and asked me if I knew where something was. I was busy and didn't really pay that much attention but told him ... no I didn't....

Later on I found out that the boss had let him walk around the yard, factory, office, repair shop...

Looking for a board stretcher.

Ed Kennell

This is the one I held out for 2 years ago.    I watched him for 2 months from  300yds.

IMG_7842.JPG.4fbebaac43bc6698bd8ec452b03516f0.JPGIMG_7841.JPG.8874d6580fa404bae1fde33de63ef559.JPGIMG_7844.JPG.b24680e4617d98a9edb419281ae2973a.JPG

Hunted him for 33 days in archery season and only saw him 3 times without a shot.    I had him at 22 yards one time, but he just wasn't standing right to take the shot.

I passed several 8s waiting for him to show.     Bow season ended and I finally took him at 197 yards with the 270.   He was in the woods just to the left of where he was headed in the above picture.

Here are a couple more bucks as of recent.  I can’t tell if the big one is the same big one or not...  Still not much day time action, but for a fawn or two.

I’ll be out checking the trail cam soon enough... but for now these two does have been in the same spot across the street for better than two hours, barely moving.  I figure whenever they go bed in their woods, I’ll go check the card.

I rotated the trail cam in the middle of the food plot to face the other direction, in efforts to establish common trail patterns coming in and out of the area.  Unfortunately I believe the camera is too slow to capture their entry.  There are a few deer here and there but the only thing worth noting is the fact that I have caught another hunter in the act on my property...
