What is the model number on the RD deck?  I bought a RD deck this summer that came off of a Work Horse.  It had been repainted somewhere along the line, and the model number/serial number sticker did not survive.  Near as I can figure, mine is a 1983 or 1984 deck.

Thanks.

Thanks for the compliments, I am looking for 1 part if anyone can help. I need the PTO brake, it can even be worn, I'll replace the material.

I still think I may need to tear down the engine as she's loud and burning some oil. The paint is good but it's still has the pitting under the paint, I sort of wish I'd spent the time on filler, but that wasn't the mission. This is to be w working tractor for my rental property for the next 20 years.

I tried the deck and it work great for mulching the leaves and grass. I had it working before, just tore it down to paint the deck. Also added new blades and checked all the bearings. I also coated it with a fresh coat of easy slide, which I now use on all my 4 of my working decks.

Thanks.

0542MR02, but this is not the deck for it. The 1982 & 1983 GT-1142 and GT-1642 came with the 42" side discharge deck, the GT-1848 came with the 48" side discharge.

The 1984 GT-1100 & GT-1600 I have all came with the 42" Rear discharge like you see here. The GT-1800 still had the 48" side discharge deck to my knowledge. In 1984 though I believe the deck was optional.

I should also mention, I cut the original underside steel that was left, in order to install the later model deck recycler.

Looks great!
I love mine. Been a great little tractor despite all it's previous owner abuse.

Well, I did another Work Horse over. This one I will use weekly at my Rental property.

Its great that you use them. Whats that people say ? " they should be ridden not hidden"

If you are bringing 3 to the show want to bring 3 1/2 ? Mine dosnt take up much room.

I used the 1982 Lincoln light pewter which is correct for my 1984 GT 1800

Gday Members, I’m now selling my favorite WheelHorse WorkHorses, with a heavy heart.   These were the first of the WheelHorse tractors I had gotten that turned me onto what a great machine they were.
Anyways…although I’m not sure of the years, due to faded tags, they are True WorkHorses, so 82-84 vintage?   Both are the white ones.  First up is a GT1100, Briggs 11hp, 8 speed.  Has chains on rear. Had a new carb on it when I bought it, although I suspect that it’s not the exact unit, since the choke is not hooked up. I manually activated the choke to start.  Been sitting, so I will clean fuel system and replace battery.  The second is a GT1142, 8 hp Briggs, 8 speed.  Currently has a lightly used 42” Replacement Toro Deck.  I bought this from the original owners daughter, who blew the engine on it after she took up mowing duties after the death of her father.  So I sourced a replacement engine, replaced carb and battery.  42” Deck was only 1 year old when I bought it 6 years ago.  Shows very little use.  I cut with it 1 time after I got it running.   Ran / Cut great.  But it’s been in storage since.  Tires were original and I noticed 1 was low last week after sitting.  Filled it up and been fine since.  Battery will be replaced if necessary.  I’m looking for $1100/BRO.   I still have a couple sets of weights and chains available, as well as other decks and various parts that I’m liquidating.  The whole shop, tools and equipment is going too.

      Thanx, Jay

Good running 1984 GT-1800 with solid, quiet and smooth 48 inch deck. Original condition. Hydraulic lift works correctly. Great tractor. Pick up in Kasson, MN. Cash at pick up.

Well, this has been a nightmare and a blessing the past week. I was scrolling across Facebook marketplace and came across a tractor I had never seen nor known about. I have(as far as I know) all advertisement and manuals on the Work Horse line and had never seen a RR-832! Even after doing a lot of online research, barely anything seems to be known about these. I found one manual that includes A-81/A-111/ and mentions the RR-832.

Anyways, I attempted to contact the person selling the Work Horse on Facebook and purchase, however she thought I was a "scammer" and didn't really want the tractor. Within 30 min it was listed as sold  So, I started doing everything I could to track another one down. I found just ONE example on Youtube, and that gentleman sold the unit years ago. I found another SINGLE example on this forum, however it was slightly customized and the owner hasn't been active for awhile. What to do now? Well...buy a A-111!
I put out a post looking for a RR-832(Still willing to buy a true one with cash in hand from any state) and a young man offered the below A-111 for $150. I couldn't complain with that price! So, we worked out a deal, I had him payed, and I set up shipping. Four days later it was sitting in my driveway. I'm going to go through the process of "converting" the A-111 to the RR-832. Give me some good luck  If anyone has any information on the Work Horse, I would greatly appreciate it!

Trying to restore a 1971 Wheel horse Workhorse 800 model 0100, It has a tecumseh HH80-110112D.
I cannot find any parts at all for this one, I’ve checked everywhere I can think online. This is my first restore, looking for some help to find parts or what I can use (swap) to keep it close to original but also functional.

Also the fly wheel has two **** that stick up off it that the coil passes and one is broke off. Is that a problem, I’m a mechanic but this thing is old and with no info it’s a guessing game.

      Parts needed so far:
       right side running bored/footrest
      Left side engine cover
      right side pulley cover
      Ignition coil
      Main drive pulley bearings
Hitch pin (goes through trans case)

*NEW TO SITE, WILL CHANGE IF POST INCORRECT*

I need to buy tubes or new rear tires for my 1971 Workhorse 800.  It has the original 22.5x7.50-12 Wheelhorse branded tires but sidewalls are leaking and one no longer holds air for more that two days.  Searching websites brings up various sizes but not the original.  Would a 23x9.50-12 fit this tractor?  I have a 36" RD deck on it.  Any other sizes work on this rim and tractor?

      Thanks!
