Could be interesting to see.

We've had a few beans. A couple zucchini. Spaghetti squash soon.

Pullstart

Our land was too wet this season to prepare a garden.  Luckily, Grandma and Grandpa are just a couple miles away and we see them once a week for some home cookin’!  Their garden is the blackest, richest dirt I’ve ever seen around here and the garden is always a free pantry to just about anybody.  You can pick all you want, but if your hand touches a weed, you are supposed to pull it!  We’ve shredded 8-10 zucchini and froze them in 2 cup portions for my mom to make bread, even tossed a couple in a roast I did a week ago.  There are always beans to pick, eggplant (that was in the roast too), cucumber galore and did I mention beans?

we had a fantastic year, I recently moved back to my grandparents property.  the vegetable garden had one of its best years, mainly from taking out several 125' tall poplar trees, more sun, the chicken fertilizer.

I also put in a large berry garden on the other side of the property, blueberry, strawberries, raspberry and some grapes.  did well I didn't let them fruit heavy the first year.  also put in 100 Christmas trees.

starting my 5.5 acre farm.

at least I have 15 or so tractors!

all and all we had so much extra my kids set up a stand and sold produce.

I have bigger plans for next year.

After last year when it rained all season and stuff basically drowned i raised the beds using some aspen logs.  Doing much better!!!!  Been putting out squash for free on the road...  Cukes and peppers (started canning banana peppers) producing, tomatoes are still mostly green a bit of color on some.

Our garden isn't very big and we can't really plant anything outside until early June...too many cold nights.

I'm the same way with okra! But, that was the only time I got to use my Swiss army knife. 😃

one thing I forgot to mention is the heirloom iris project.  I redid a bunch of my grandmother's iris beds.  I have been on the search looking for certain color combos.

Blackberries, they are called brambles here in Cumbria, are just starting to ripen. Carol will soon be jam making.
