Thankyou, I was wanting something to support a 42 inch deck I bought, and this just kinda happened:)

I forgot to mention that if your machine does not have an hour meter consider adding one. These Kohler engines have no oil filter and regular oil changes are key to long life.

You got a heck of a deal. Nice machine.

I use one of those for mowing the ditch by our place as it is much more stable than the other mower. 10hp is plenty for that deck.

very good pick up on that, your local hardware store ,probably has a pull out drawer section for small parts. find the matching small flat washers there to tighten up that carb linkage. found that and lubrication on related areas makes it work without effort , pete

So I had a stupid plastic funnel that I used to do oil changes that had a tube connected to the funnel part, I guess so the funnel could swivel, a slight angle to fit different areas.

well, when I was taking the funnel off after doing my oil change on my C101, the tube part popped off and fell in the crankcase. Of course can’t see anything through that hole, tried for a while fishing it with a coat hanger, but no sign of it at all.

perhaps I’ll be lucky and it just sits somewhere in the crankcase without touching any moving parts.

When I start my engine it will die once i change the throttle from idle to full throttle and when I switch the cold start throttle to what ever down is. It will just die every time

I got a C160 automatic today. I already own a C101 8 speed. The first thing I noticed when driving each one is the C101 seems faster, and seems to not bog down as much up a steep hill. I bought the C160 for more power and speed but now I am regretting my purchase as it feels the C101 drives "stronger".

I also noticed how much smoother my C101 is compared to the 160. I know the rubber motor mounts are the reason. Questions is can I upgrade the 160 to the same set up for a smoother operation?

Thanks for any answers anyone can give me.

      Thanks!
