Yep. It’s a 2011 VStrom 650. Seat is stock and not all that comfy. I’ve toyed with upgrading the seat but I usually don’t ride as far as I did today.

Glad you got to spend time with your dad. I miss mine all the time but we did do a lot of fishing when we had the chance. Spend all the time you can while you still have him. Looks like a fun trip that both of you went on. :greetings-waveyellow:

The Appalachian trail passes thru here, looked like a tough area to hike.

Trina and I have hiked that one. Actually one of the easier places in the Northeast.

I prefer just twistin the throttle and magically ending up on the top-o-the-mountain

I usually average only 50-60 miles on a ride, when I bought my 2007 Suzuki DR-Z400S the stock seat was terrible, suzuki offered a Gel seat so I installed that went down the street turned around removed and returned it and ordered a Corbin seat, very hard but after just over 400.00 I tried to like it for 3 years, still hated it, now I have a Sargent Seat and my butt and I are now happy again.

Sparky,  My best friend and riding partner bought a new Ducati 1198S a couple years ago.  His wife forced him into selling his Ninja after a minor incident.  What she did not know was I drove him to the dealership to pick up the 1198 the next day.  Did I mention my friend is 78?  He is not quite old enough to be my Dad, but I always enjoy riding with him.  Danny

Nice scenery and good weather to enjoy it.

Rode pillion with my father from when I was 8yrs old and got my first bike at 15. Had something like 40+ over the years. Not had one for over 10yrs now, but still get tempted to get another.
