Is this the steel wire that held a K301 tight to your truck bed?

No the hold down wire is # 12 gauge (0.081"), #8 gauge is about 1/8 inch.

A little of both, the outhouse is our well pump cover/yard tool storage and the rooster is about four feet tall.

So...the line for the privy starts to the left of the rooster?

My wife had a birthday recently and she has been looking at metal roosters to put up next to the outhouse for several years but has had the good judgement to not pay several hundred dollars for one.

Don't ask me how I know this but the greatest gifts are the ones from someone's hands.

Some times the packaging can be better than the gift. For several years I would construct oddball packaging with a couple pairs of socks in them, she loved them.
