gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,491 #3 Posted June 26, 2019 These diagrams should help you solve the problem. Each circuit has it's own diagram. The relays may all be identical so need to trace the wire colors to identify what each one does. Post more questions so we can help you work through it. Click on the picture. Chuck14025 9 #4 Posted June 27, 2019 Thank you G WEST. Your information is very helpful. 1994 520H won't crank the engine. Cross the large teminals on the starter solenoid and it cranks. Removed the old 9 pin connector. One pin slightly burned. Replaced all 9 wires with direct soldered connections with heat shrink. Battery at 12.6 volts. Have ground at all points checked. I'm guessing I need to find and test the 'switching relay' and the 'starter relay' to find the problem circuit. Am I on the right track. Thanks again. Chuck14025 9 #6 Posted June 27, 2019 Fuses are/were good - connections were hot on one side. Thank you.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,491 #7 Posted June 27, 2019 What is the problem? Starter won't work with the key? If so when it fails to work does one or more of the idiot lights come on? Garry
