BEST Replacement Tie Rod BOOTS?

Recommended Posts

Duramax7man7

Wondering if anyone found a good replacement tie Rod Boot for these tractors yet?

The OEM are crap IMO and I'm in need of a few sets at this point.

Thanks!

Is there a place off hand?

What I'm looking for is a full tie rod end boot. Something like a modern automobile dust boot. Not just standard OEM parts that help to hold grease in place. Too much junk gets in those.

I've not tried to look for these myself but maybe give a call to McMaster-Carr?

Or perhaps somebody that does go-kart racing parts?

As I switch out tie rods I'm changing over to all heim style joints. Seems to be more heavy duty than stock joints and about the same price.

I'll be curious to see if somebody comes up with an answer. I could use a few myself.

OH sorry, these are for the HD front swept tractors... I have a 520h with FSA and a 312-8 that I pt a FSA on and they both use the full blown Tie Rods. Not the smaller tractor stuff.

Have you tried Advance, AutoZone, or O'Reily's in their "Help" sections? ...   https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/dorman-help-tie-rod-dust-boot-9-16-in-shaft-13562/17190228-P, good luck.

I picked up a set of doorman's from advance auto around the corner. They only had one set but they are the good kind. Will try them out this weekend.

Yep. Thanks again!

I'll post a pic when done. These will be going on a 94 312-8 that has a forward swept front axle on it.
