Rear hitch compatibility

Was looking to buy rear hitch assembly on eBay don’t know what is comparable with my ‘84 c125. They all look the same. Is there much of any difference through the models?

That should work for your C series tractor. When you install it clean the pin and hole good and swap some never sieze on the inside of the hole and pin.  Someday you may want to remove it and thoses pins like to rust seize in the hole.

Thank you so much. I have a rear tiller so I won’t be leaving it on all the time. I’m a believer in lube. Most everything I own gets hosed down on a regular basis.

I thought the price was ok with the pin included. I’m in South Carolina not as many of these around as back home up north. Just acquired the tractor a few weeks ago am dying to break some ground with it.

I just came across a plow and cultivators for 150. Going to look at next week not sure if good deal looks ok. I would have everything except a blade if I got these. Have tiller and deck. So ready to get in the dirt.

This hitch is BENT...  no question about it.  The 'U' section is out of shape.  SOME of these 'U' shapes are 1/4" steel...others are 3/8" and MUCH STRONGER.

That mid cultivator looks really bent. Might be an illusion. Look at my cultivator I have in the Big Show sale thread for comparison.

I thought maybe it was just the pic? Not impossible for someone to have jackknifed it tho??

When you need stuff like this Kraut put an ad in the classified wanted section, never know who has what lying around.

You can retweak a hitch and it would be fine. You're not going to be pulling a 35 ft travel trailer up a mountain with it. I got a bent one. Tweaked it back and it's fine

I'm just sayin' that....the older Drawbar hitches from Charger, Raider, C-120 C-160 up thru about 1977 or 78 were made of MUCH heavier gauge steel in the 'U' shape of the hitch.

Thanks for all the great advise. I’m just starting to learn about the wheel horse goodies. I’m excited to have one.

The plow and the Cultivator won't work well with the drawbar hitch your looking at. You really need to be looking for a Brinly/ clevis hitch or a slot hitch. I have all three with a 3/4 inch removable pin, easy to remove and change when needing to different implements. You can probably find all three in the classified/ wanted section here, for under $125.00. Like Dave said pre 1977 drawbar hitches are better.

Also welcome, always good to get another southern member here.

My drawbar/pin hitch stays on even with the clevis hitch only time it comes off is for the tiller.

Slot hitch for the cultivator. Silver tow bar is in it.

hey there  I would like to install a ball and pull my boat and utility tractor around the property.  I don't feel as if the design of this drawbar style is built for that not to mention low height.   What recommendations, bought or built do you have to help me out..
it would be nice to keep my tiller attachment on if possible.

also what did they use the bar coming from under seat for??

I am taking orders for the custom heavy duty hitches that Scott and I have been building.

      1. regular hitch $150 + shipping

      2. XI hitch $175 + shipping

      3. custom hitch to your dimensions $150 - $200 + shipping depending on what you need and cost of materials.

extra plates and bolts $10 To mount hitch to tractor if you don't have a rear plow mount.

Any questions you can PM me or post here.

the larger of the two is an XI hitch

      New to the forum.
      I just bought my first wheel horse, it's a c125 8 speed with a 10 hp k241 so it's been repowered I take it.
My concern is when rototilling in first gear low I cant just let the clutch out and let the tractor do its thing I have to keep in and out of the clutch to let the motor catch back up.
Is the motor tired or is the tractor underpowered?
I have not cleaned the carb or done anything to the tractor yet for that matter. Just trying to get a feel for it.

I've just acquired a renovated C125 but unfortunately the drive belt got snagged with the mower deck belt (maybe because of incorrect fitment?). It looks like I'm on a steep learning curve! I've been trying to find out which belt to buy as a replacement. The belt I've just taken off is 94 inches but  according to the parts manual I need a Toro belt part number 94 2501 which is 103 inches? The mower deck is a 42in rear eject. It's funny that the Toro belt has 94 2501 as the part number but is 103 inches & I apparently need a 94in belt? Any ideas?

My starter really drags for a few revolutions (barely turns over) then it spins the Kohler K301 like a champ. I replaced the battery with a 390 CCA interstate.

I suspect the brushes are damaged from previously having an underpowered battery. Should I replace the brushes or replace the starter?  Also, what is a reputable place to buy these items?  I don't want to buy junk.
