Me and Trina and the dog just came back from an hour or so snowshoeing in the forest. Temperature in the high 30s and nice bright beautiful sunshine.

As we were coming back up the hill we scared up a GREAT HORNED OWL.

THAT RIGHT THERE IS A MASSIVE BIRD

Had the lot today. Rain, snow, sleet, sunshine. Along with a strong, cold wind. Lovely day for standing in a forest marshalling on a rally.

We'd love to get there but it won't be this year....

Just waaay to much to do and not enough time to get to it all.

Hoping to get down to Connecticut in the fall for @stevebo 's if the timing works out right.

Definitely planning on @JCM's place in Sept!!!

We've had a nesting pair that roost right next to our building in a small maple every evening when its time to start hunting - that big male has scared the living bejeezus out of my wife more than once when he calls out. On some evenings, they sit out there and share a meal - ripping something apart with a fair amount of noise if the windows are open.

Yes, they are quite big - but beautiful. I wish they would hunt more in the daylight - help knock down some of the ground squirrel population in the yard.

:blink: Survived yet another dusting of the Academy last night.

I swear these nuisance events seem like more work than the typical high volume snow accumulation.

Some nice new Kenworth's we just got, huh?

Trucks are nice, but the ergonomics... :eusa-hand: not so much.

@AMC RULES

I agree that the low accumulation snow events are possibly more irritating then the big events. Still have to do all the same amount of work anyway.

New truck of any make is nice enough for a little while and I agree with the ergonomics if they're anything like the two I used to drive. They just weren't set up right and the company had underpowered them to boot.

I still would rather have an older pre emissions truck...
