cschannuth 3,795 #2 Posted January 18, 2019 I prefer to guess the amount. That way when I exaggerate a bit i don't feel like I'm stretching the truth. At least I don't know if I am. LOL 2

953 nut 51,675 #6 Posted January 19, 2019 The first time my wife saw snow (she was born and raised in Miami FL) she told her sister that we had a foot of snow because it was deep enough to cover her foot!

Tractorhead 8,610 #9 Posted January 19, 2019 At my Side we have a Snowbreak, what is bit more South urgently required to clean the Situation. They have more than 1 Meter of Heavy wet Snow and must release lot of roofs from Snow, that they don't collapse, because forecast dealing again with more Snow. We are used snow, but not so much in such short periode. Also actual a lot of avalanche warnings. two Vollages are completley trapped in Snow. Here the last 2 Day's some snow was melting because 9 degC at daylight, what releases a bit the Situation, but now frost came up. Forecast deals again with some Snow, time to recheck the Equippment, because i see yesterday a huge issue on my FEL while i extract it out of the Snow and i have to improove. Actual -4,2deg.C and sunny.
953 nut 51,675 #10 Posted January 19, 2019 Yes, I remember those days. I grew up east of Syracuse and there were times that we had to dump milk because the milk truck couldn't make it to the farm to pick it up.
cleat 4,984 #11 Posted January 19, 2019 It was always fun when the milk truck slid off the driveway too. Our old 2 wheel drive tractors did nothing to pull him out. In the end, a lot of shoveling then some sand or dirt under his wheels and the truck would eventually drive itself out.

I had a cousin that push snow for the county and he remembers hitting cars buried in the snow that was left behind and drifted over !

Beautiful country Pompey, NY, just south of Manlius. Do they still have the Antique show and sales in Bouckville? My wife and I went there a few times years back.
