I have found that moving the motion control lever all the way to forward makes it easy to push.

What is the temperature?  What oil is in the transmission?  The hydros do resist pushing and cold temperatures together with thick oil makes it next to impossible.  It would be best if you don't force the tractor to move.

That is one thing mentioned in service manuals, but I never noticed much difference where the motion lever is located.  I do believe that each tractor has its own personality.

I have a 312A that has the Eaton 700 and it can not be pushed

All my tractors with the Eaton 1100 can be pushed slowly.

My bad, I thought the 516-H would be an 1100 Eaton.

Any truth to if you can push a non-running 700 its bad or going bad?

My daughter has a 700 hydro and it will not move at all without the engine running no matter the lever position.

I think the hydraulic lift tractors have the 1100.  Manual lifts have the 700.

I also had a 312A with the 700, if it wasn't running it wasn't going anywhere :snooty:.

      Good day to all,

I have a 1975 wheel horse I have it running stars great now. But the linkage and the parts that control the forward and reverse on the hydraulic pump.
When I brought it all the pieces were in a basket I have no idea how to reassemble. I have no idea how to connect linkage to the pump and to the linkage. I definitely would appreciate any help in this matter. My wheel horse will be my main snow removal and we have snow now.

      I would appreciate your help
      thanks Ken
