Unusual surprise today

I found an ad on CL for Garden tractor rims with 23 x 10.5 x 12 tires on them. I went to the guy’s house and bought the rims. I was telling him I collect wheel horses and I’m going to use these wheels on one. He takes me to his garage and asks me if I want to buy another  horse. I said  sure and I’ll be right back with my trailer. Now I own a 310-8 . It runs great and the blades work too.

Looks like a great find this is one model I would like to have myself.  What kind of shape is the 10 horse Kohler in ?

That looks like an 86 or newer to me. If you post the serial number somebody will come along and let you know.

Thanks. The 10hp is really nice. Fires up easy, runs smooth, and doesn’t smoke.

I never had a tractor this new. It’s built well and in nice shape. I’m looking forward to learning more about it.

Nice. They are getting harder to find in good shape. Sorry for your loss. Hopefully it’s going to a good home and gets treated right.

My choice on the loss. I mainly chase round hoods up to early 70's. He is a great guy. He better take good care of this one. I plan on working a maintence plan with him since he isn't mechanically inclined.
