I’ve only seen them buy one Wheel Horse. A model 633 I think it was and Frank bought it.

My wife literally screams at them when they walk by something SHE considers priceless.    :scared-yipes:     I have to remind her that it is entertainment, not reality.

When they bought the :wh: she said they paid too much, must say I agreed.

My wife has done the same thing ,but comments are about the dummies paid too much.  I have gotten tired of the show. Not as much interesting objects anymore.

I've seen them walk past :wh: on the show also, for some reason they can't hear you when you yell at the TV.

While on a job in Nashville a few years ago I took the opportunity to stop by their store. They don't have the big building that you would be led to believe from the show. The old auto factory was turned into a strip mall and they have a small store in it. Talking to employee's, I found out that they take down everyone else's signs when they film the out side of it. Not much around the area other than the strip mall either.

Most things in the store were out of my reach cash wise, about all I could swing was a T-shirt :). It was cool to be able to check out the VanDutch motorcycle, wish that it hadn't been so buried with other displays.

Same is true for Pawn Stars!    I keep telling the wife, "Reality TV" has nothing to do with REALITY, it is just a TV show. That being said, they are better than most of the other crap programming on TV.

They edit out a lot we don't see. They have to condense it done a hour show of that they might use 40 munutes.

I visited their "store" in Iowa and found that nearly all antique items are not for sale, it's just a tourist trap employing teenagers selling imported trinkets.  My guess is that they have a shopping list for some clients.

I finally cut comcast and now use HULU

Should have done it sooner.

Get all the channels I need and save over $80 per month.

I'm sure I've heard them say, on more than one occasion...

there just isn't enough margin there for them to make a profit.

there entire show is just entertainment/fluff, they have a crew that drives the van out the sites, they have staff locate the properties and all negotiations/purchases are pre negotiated.  they then fly out and do the tapings.  it's just a scripted show

I'm old enough to remember fiddling around with rabbit ear antennas and tinfoil hanging all over them. Of coarse the picture always went out when the game was on the line and a long pass play happening! Always a crappy picture. Plus you had to actually get up off the couch and turn the dial to a different channel with a snowy picture, and adjust the rabbit ears again to try and keep the signal going. The cable concept is definitely a huge improvement to the old days but cost has gone through the roof.

Not to hijack this thread, but you say you finally cut Comcast and use HULU. But who do you use for internet to be able to stream?
