Shaw is what started it all for Wheel Horse. The Pond family worked for Shaw in early years.  Cleaned points and good gas and runs pretty good.

They made several different models and styles. They had bicycles in early years and several walk behind models and many rider types. Some people call them "rare" but like any other tractor its location and how hard you look. There is 3 other Shaws in the collection but over past 20 years of collecting we sold around 15 more Shaws.

I think it is amazing that you got it from the original owner!

Friend said there was a "Register" but I think he said there was only 3 on it.  And again, I have no idea what model Shaw, or for that matter anymore about them, but my "take a way" was that I might not touch another!

And after a few years I still haven't...

Thanks for the Pond history lesson, reminder. I forgot they worked for Shaw. Gonna have to

break out my copy of Martino's Straight From the Horse's Mouth now, to see what else I've forgotten.

So much in there that it's hard not to forget something.  You reminded me as well!

Yes they Shaw Du All tractors. The R6 is little larger do to the model ZZ Briggs compared to the Model 14 Briggs in the R5 like mine. They had 16inch rear or 24inch rear tires. They also had an R8 with single cylinder Wisconsin and R12 with 2cyl Wisconsin.
