:WRS: @Paul's Boy  I have 2 of those Commando 8s, they surely are a great tractor, fine example of one you have there.

Where did you get the front tires from, and what size are they , I've been looking for some like that.

rjg854,

We purchased them from Steve Shannon Tires in Williamsport, PA.

I'll get the specifics for you.

My Dad bought this tractor used circa 1969. It’s been in our family since then (with an partial restore in the mid ‘70s) and I fully inherited it when I retired in 2012. My brother and I spent the last year tearing her apart, repainting her parts, getting new parts when needed, and getting new decals for her. It was a labor of love and a tribute to our Dad.

I won’t inundate you with the myriad pictures we took: here is the before and after photos.

Great before and after, and please do inundate us with a myriad of pictures!

that's good I see we are 1 state away and we won't bidding against each other!  unfortunately I bought 2 different incomplete rusted up com.8's over the summer neither one was worth restoring and for me to sat that they were.  the one frame and trans is will have a new life as an 854 round hood.

Looks good!  How nerve wracking was it lifting the fresh tractor with the cherry picker?

Not too bad. We lifted the tractor and took the work table out from under it and lowered it to the floor.

Easy process that my brother and I accomplished and in about 20 minutes.
