Recommended Posts

so its been a interesting day to say the least ...so anyway i bought back a charger 9 that i got last year and discovered the plow i got with it was a long frame and fits my 953 like a glove well not so with the charger 9 when lining up the lift and other stuff so now i need to come with a different plan i guess ......looks like back to work on the 953 rear diff and get some thinner head bolts and go from there and maybe a snow blow attach for the charger 9 lol.....................if i didn't crap luck i wouldn't have any at all lol!

I'm not sure either.

Still should hook up I think.

Hand lever to chain.

Chain to lift lever.

Lift lever to plow frame.

Or

A solid link between the two of them.

Maybe

@Achto or @pfrederi @buckrancher @953 nut

Might know for sure?

 the wheel base for a Charger 9 has a 45.5 inch wheel base, my 68 Commando 8 has a 41.5 inch wheel base.  So I'm not sure if they consider that a mid length or long base:scratchead:

I'm not sure on that length question either.

I believe that plow should work on either one though.

My plow came off a long frame and is currently on a B80 which is a mid frame.

What we need is a picture of the plow frame.  Seems to me if it fit a 953 it ought to work on that Charger.  Whereas a short frame plow would be to short to be able to angle the plow.

Axle bracket should have the flip tabs facing the rear of the tractor.

There are two different axle brackets. The later one mounts under the axle. There is an older axle bracket that mounts in front of the axle. I believe it was used on tractors with a three point hitch.. What bracket do you have.
