I had access to tons of hospital beds. Just didn't have anywhere to store one.

Looking good...my C125 needs some attention too, though I doubt it will get the kind of attention that yours is getting. My C141 is another story though, as of today I think every bolt on the tractor has been removed lol

Original tyres and wheel bearings were past their sell by date. So into Carlisle for replacements.

Take two modified wheel spindles made a while ago.

Got the bottom and top of the tower painted and on today. Assembled just to see how things looked. The external panels will be sprayed again as the weather turned humid and damp. Not to say windy. Rather wild with 60-70mph gusts.

Back up on the bench. Saves the old back.

P1020623.JPG.39d06ac88c744beb583268c9ef9726b0.JPG

Assembled clutch, handbrake and lift mechanism. Back to cleaning up and prepping, ready for painting when the weather is more convivial.

I was gonna use a broom like I normally do, but I guess I could let you give it a try with a brush.:D

The steering arms spindles were cut down to 3/4".

Then a pair of trailer wheel spindles modified as shown on the left. Cut off spindle inserted in the end and welded.

Trailer spindles and hubs source from a company here in England called.....Indespension.

That is looking really nice Norm.  My 702 is fitted with trailer bearings, rims and tires...not quite the way yours is, but it works great.  :occasion-xmas:

Got the tower, pto lever, fuel tank and some of the smaller bits fitted today. Also got most of the remaining small parts painted.

Below is a shot of the boat engine primer bulb I fitted to help starting when left idle for a while. It's accessed through a hole in the fender under the seat. And yes. I need a new gaiter for the gear lever.

Between putting up Christmas lights, I managed to get a bit more painting today. Just three coats of primer. Hopefully topcoat tomorrow.

Only footplates, Drive belt guard and fender.

I think the footplate on the right will be getting a touch of filler. Should have done it before.

In to the kitchen to fully dry overnight.

Three coats of top coat to fender and footplates. Also some skate board grippy applied to the footplates. Footplates also mounted on tractor.

Remembered to put the drive belt on, so I don't have to take things off to fit it.

I know there's a bit of difference in paint tones, but I couldn't get spray cans in an exact match. But hey! Who cares. Two tone's good.:D

Seat base and brackets are primed as well. Had fun with the split pins holding the spring thing's. Seized solid and snapped off and one of the springs has escaped to hide somewhere in the workshop.

That's fine. It'll be there the next time you need it. Okay well not really cuz you have no idea where it went but at least you have one in your spare stock somewhere for future reference.

That's a right nice-looking tractor right there sir.

I do the same thing with rooftops. You could put 10 naked women on a roof and I'll say " Look at that big honkin cooling tower fan or there's a POS Carrier"!

Starting to look like something now.

Seat base painted and fitted.

P1020643.JPG.7cd688741cca6c49e2b1b44943e1b59c.JPG

High back seat that originally came on the Black Horse. Cleaned up not bad after a wipe with white spirit. After this photo was taken.

P1020645.JPG.345ec4c650c49aa908d16933b0594484.JPG

Pair of rear lights that have been on the parts shelf for a few years. I'll wire them up when I do the wiring.

Progress today. Got it off the bench and took some photo's outside.

After a clean up in the workshop, (I still not found the elusive spring) I turned my attention to the antivibration engine plate.

Cleaned it up and got it primed and top coated.

P1020650.JPG.d9c00d14765eb0c86a0c20fe18f61765.JPG

P1020653.JPG.618add4ef67de9004d6d4288611d1b82.JPG

Next the bonnet/hood got my attention. Borrowing SWMBO's hairdryer I removed the stickers from the sides. That was followed by a good going over with turpentine substitute, then a rub down with emery cloth.

The photo' below shows how much the paint has faded over the last 36 years.

P1020652.JPG.094520d3ea39a70a8396851e62d5c036.JPG

That was all today as it was getting a bit nippy.

Lookin’ great!  Keep up the good work!  Wish we had your weather though.  Mid Atlantic states have been hammered by the first major winter storm.  Do you guys get much snow over there?

Where I am, down on the Solway plain near the  sea, not much. The fells behind us get it though. Depends on where you are in the country.

Rather cold and damp today, but working between workshop and kitchen I got the underneath of the bonnet painted. Bonnet into kitchen to warm up, paint in hot water, outside to spray, into kitchen to dry. Repeat five times.
