I see it is the two handle model , one one each side of the hood. I tried to figure out what the tall handle could be used for but came up ??????????????

Tall handle, should be shorter but it's correct for the model it's actually the drive handle the other side is for raise and lowering the deck

Nice, looks like original decals under the paint. I'd clean off the old paint and bring it back to original, but that's just me.

An AWESOME and very rare piece!  Having just been in South Bend yesterday at the location where this vintage machine was built over 60 years ago, makes it an even cooler gem from my perspective.  I’m so glad that the family entrusted you with this heirloom tractor.  Ryan, you’ll have to find out if they happen to have any pictures of their uncle and maybe of the tractor back in the 1950’s and 60’s.

I’m looking forward to seeing this restored to 1950’s newness!

Nice find! I also have a converted cable steer , when they converted these they must have also modified the rear axel from snap ring to the later style cotter pin. Does yours have snap ring or cotter pin? Thanks Chuck

I think that is the way to go not 100% sure at this time.
