Rear tiller install

Recommended Posts

Hey all, I have a question about installing a rear mounted tiller on my 1971charger 12 automatic. I would like to get a tiller to install maybe next year but I don't know what all is needed to hook it up, I never had an attachment for any of my tractors except for a mower deck and want to know what parts is needed for installing. Any information is greatly appreciated.IMG_20181111_142520.jpg.34be0d37b3716cafb8802007c36b1e2d.jpg

You will find this file handy. The A in D&A is the attachment list for your tractor.

The tiller in 1971 was model 7-1211 on page 2 and continued on page 3. Those other models are recent but the list leaves out many models. Here they are in the order they were produced.

Tiller DNA

1966 model RT-366 replaced by

1967 model RT-367

1968-1973 model 7-1211 ----------from here

1973-1974 model 7-1251

1975 model 7-1252

1976 model 67-36TL01

1977 model 77-36TL01

1977 model 77-36TL02

1978 model 87-36TL01

1979 model 97-36TL01

1980-1982 model 07-36TL01

1983-1985 model 07-36TL02

1986-1989 model 07-36TL03

1990-1991 model 07-36TL04

1992 model 07-36TL05

1993-2001 2003-2007 model 79370 ----------to here should all work.

If you check the parts lists for all models they show everything required.

We likely have most of the operator manuals also which helps with installation.

Having an Electric PTO make sure your tiller is up in the air and not clogged up with sod before you engage the PTO..Also I would throttle down when engaging to reduce the shock to the belt, idler pulleys, and tension spring.  The belts are expensive.
