That looks very nice. Did you run into any problems with the position of the pulleys?

Yes, the biggest problem is the space between the pedal shaft and the Pulleybelt.

it was so d... Close, not much place to deal with.

The Pulley's self where Stock material for sawing machines.

I have them reworked - Original bore was 15mm, drilled up to 18mm the

sliding block was much bigger than the original space, so i file it up, that it fits.

no big deal - latest issue was to mill them bit down from 40mm wide to 18mm wide, so that 2 pulley's go on one shaft together.

What is the Horse Power of the new engine?

as i told purchased was an 12,5 HP Engine and in delivered paperwork it was described as 16HP Engine.

the biggest difference was the Screws. I threaded 4xM10 in the Engine - that is close to 7/16.

Changed the Engineshaft pulley hole -  drill up to 7/16, so that i can it use the old Enginepulley further.

This new Engine has damed lot of Power.

with the old onan, if i slipped from the clutch, it stalls.

On first Testride, i go not gently enough from clutch - Wheely....

Any questions? 😎😄

There is more than enough torque, the governor runs idle at 2800rpm but it can be improoved, but i have no need for.

My last issue was the Belts, i get plain rubber ones and for Gear i need a coated one, because of clutch function.

i have to order and find different Belts, they coated. The rest seems to be perfect.

I love the dark bassy sound of the new Engine.

Tested today Tuc Tuc's reworked FEL and all other Issues.

All together it was so far a Success, the Lift height was on the Shovel tip 2,04m.

everything work mostly as expected, just the Belt clutch didn't separates good enough as needed.

While i have the Hydraulics Pulley actually combined in the Original Belt drivetrain it slips not enough.

change of Gear is so a bit heavy and rough and the Clutch releases earlier than before because of more span.

This was an issue i feared, the rest was pretty nice working.

Tryed all the Belts i have, but no combination works nice as a clutch.

For the Hydraulics everything seems nearly perfect, just a Beltspanner for the Hydraulicpump shall be installed later on.

i found an light slippage on heavier weight, at the Hydraulics but this does not irritate the function at all as i needed.

Maybe this is also a good choice to limit the weight in the Shovel, at 110 Kilo it begin's to slip.

- If it slips, the FEL has an Overload, that simple. -

So i do a new order for 3 different length of coated Drive Belts, they give me hopefully the needed slippage for the drive Clutch back,

to bring the Clutch clean back to work. Also i can dealing with different Lengths easier for a better working Clutch,

because i have not much experiences belt driven Clutches.

So i improve my knowledge also a bit more.😎

after the first 6h of continouse operation, i am very satisfied with my Work.

Even at a Daylight view, the cutted Hood for Exhaust looks familar to me.

I love my nice looking and working Tuc Tuc...

Thinking for a Drivers cabin for Winter, feared for early Snow

The new Engine has a Hell of Torque, in compare to the old Engine

I realize no powerloss in any situation.

Even with a heavy loaded Trailer on hook it just initiates short more gas but no stalling,

so my hope for more torqe was absolutely reached.

- and it's much quiter -

yap, you're right, Time for a Coffee !

Oh yes, - upps - i forgotten to do - 😁😴 will do it at next ride, promised.😇

today arrives the Belts  but - yes you're right, they're delivered wrong ones.

no coated...

Short call to the Company - gladly i reached the Guy - some excuses, so tomorrow send it back to Seller and still wait for the right material...🙄 At least they Pay the complete Shippment fee.

Ok, so i just have to wait once more....

Today early in the Morning the first few Snowflakes are falling, but not enough to real play with... 😂

I'm nervous, wanna do a testdrive if all works - humm. But it's just a bit Powder.

After Work was finished today, nearly everything was melted excluded in shadow Areas...

So only a short first try was possible, just i can find out, how good or worse the grip of the Tyres was.

I think with about 35-40Kg on the rear Tyres i can maybe use them without need of chains.

I also still thinking about a real clutch, maybe on the Gearpulley.

Thinkin about to rework it, that it works as a real Clutch.

No idea if this is good or worse, but i have an idea therefore, just have to proove if it works.

Space therefore is now available, because of move the Hydraulics away.

My only problem is my small Minilathe, so i cannot cuck such a huge Diameter.

I have to do a little more Brainstorming about, maybe i get a good idea how to solve it with my Options.

Found some interesting Data's about the Peerless Transaxle 5 Speed

Housing Die-cast Aluminium
Output Torque 150 ft.lbs (203.4 N.M)
Axle Diameter 3/4" (19.05 mm)
Differential Standard
Forward Speeds Five
Reverse Speeds One
Input Speed (maximum) 2000 rpm
Input Shaft Diameter 5/8" (15.9 mm)
Input Bearings Needle Bearings

Integrated Brake
Max. Weight over Axle 525 Lbs (238 kg)
Tire Diameter (maximum) 20" (508 mm)
Gears Sintered Metal Gears
Lubrication 85w140 or formulated grease

Ha, uh- doh...

I lost my password on youtube.

What's happen today?

So i begun with a handsome Breakfast and sorted all parts i have together - my Car was completely full.

First issue was finally to seperate the Belts.

the Enginebelt fits perfectly, as i measured and hoped.

to get the Belt to friction, i set an additional Pulley as feed roll.

No slip at all at the whole Hydraulics, even cylinder hits their endpoints. Yap - success!

Then i mounted an Fuel Tank sensor, also a found Combiinstrument with Fuel level and RPM.

everything works nicley, except the Instrument was for 2Stroke motorcycles, so the value of RPM has to be halved.

As pulse pin, i used simply the Kill switch line of Magneto, this works perfectly.

- looks pretty cool - i think.

Just the Belt for the Gear was bit tooo long. I missted the Value at Order, but hoped, i can get it to work.

No chance at all.

then i cutted the Old belt and use it as template, to find the exactest value i need.

i found it must be 1210-1225mm, then it fit's perfectly and gear is back in Service.

image.jpeg

View of the Belt - yes, i know wrong side, but i must remove the Belt from Screw (lower left) it was hit.

As i told not much place to dealin with.

image.jpeg

The feed pulley mounted with an M6 Screw but enhanced by an 18mm Spacer, for Stability.

image.jpeg

I think it looks real cool with RPM, maybe i made a small pcb to half the Values...

but Fuel gauge is the important issue, i did it for.

Will wait for my accound confirming, to upload the "Horse Bark" 😅

The Engine has such Power (Torque) that i didn't need the small Pulley to don't stall.

Even if Hydraulics hits the Endpoint, just a little impact of RPM was noticed, but the Engine can easy overlay.

It don't sounds that it will be a heavy force needed, just a fingertipp.

I think my decision to swap the Engine was absolutely right.

So i'm able to use the big Pulley on the Engine and have enough spare for Gear.

additionally the Final speed will also be improoved, but it don't cares me.

Now ordered 3 Basic "cheap" Belts in12,7mm 1/2" - one with 1210mm one with 1220mm and a 1230mm version. Hope they come soon, winter takes another short break, but i'm sure it will come, and this year i hope with a lot of snow....

You know i hate it to wait! 😎

See something (my personal Sentinel) and i thinking for a hood ornament, but this will maybe tooo much...

But i love it, otherwise, if it will be damaged.. hmmmm so i ...

Aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrggghhh i don't like such decisions

Or, hmmmm im so unsure about ....

Was it was'nt it

But i think i can be cool looking...

Comments please - shall i shall i not ?

Tuc Tuc ....

Belts are inserted and all works as expected, did a short try, to play a bit with FEL.

for some purposes i made a larger Aluminum Circle with 100mm with a circular bend edge.

so if Belt hops off from Pulley, it is arrested near Pulley in Position.

if cluth releases it will be automatically feed thru pulley.

the Clutch works as a dream, absolutely smooth coupling.

I love it, if a Plan works.

:orcs-cheers:

Funny -

then i reworked the mount- issue for the Snowblade.😎

I made from an U- Steel an carrier for a Catesian mountingplate, bolted with M12 to Snowblade and do a first testdrive with it.

A Nut in M12 was reworked on Minilathe, to be a bulled with hole.

this was captured in the ring of the Arms, what will be screwed with M12 longthread together.

the function was working as a bearing -  Finally on Top i set a selflock nut.

don't know if my description is clearly formulated, but it works as hoped...

Because lack of snow, my first test was Plowing some dirt, the Blade works as expected.

Actually the Snowblade will be lifted thru FEL by a chain because of cartesian, but i think about.

The Coilspring on the Snowblade was from a Garagedoor, and pushes still hard,

but with a good feedback if something harder will be hit.

We will see, how it works in Snow, in dirt it worked pretty good without extrem slip on Reartyres.

Yes, i know a rainy floor by plowing dirt is not same as snowplow on ice ....😇

Another issue is, i like to exchange the Shovelcylinder self, while i want more expanding way.

I purcased this cylinder, because it was very cheap and for a proof of concept it was absolutely good enough.

Now i have another deal in mind.

Change the Shovelcylinder to anotherone with 200mm lift.

Reuse the short 100mm maybe for the Snowblade, added a Valve and Tadaaaaaa.

another options will also be tested.

We will see, where the Travel goes..

Tuc Tuc Tuc

The auto-returning belt keeper is a great idea!

Is the blade allowed to move left to right, or is it straight all the time?  If it is fixed straight, some lateral or cross bracing might be helpful if you are pushing a big pile.

As always, great work!

Hi Kevin,

thanks for your Advice.

the angles for the Blade is just allowed to solve height differences diagonal on the Blade up and down,

actual it can handle up to 15cm in diagonal on both sides, the tilt angle on Bladetop to front over spring is about 25 degrees.

While it is fixed in the Basement on tractor it don't swimm that much sideways as i feared,

additionally the spring fixed the blade by a light preload.

i thinked allready short about a fixing, but it seems with the preload i didn't need it.

It seems i had done a good choice with the spring i choosed.

I have to plow a road, wich is very odd, so the blade must handle lateraly differences for 8cm in diagonal on both sides while plowing

just so i can plow each sides in each direction as i would do.

Tried it by move dirt - works so far, hope it will also be working that fine with snow... 😉

About a straight between i ended up with, have that issue still in mind, but will test firstly at real snowplow if it works as it is.

Tuc tuc tuc  it tells me...

A long search has an end, finally i found 100% fitting seals for my FEL Liftcylinders.

The selfmade was made of silicone, they are to weak an interrupts a smooth drop down.

I tryed several seals but no one worked before as i expected, so i tried at last a Moto Guzzi fork seal

and they fit perfectly like made for my Cylinders.

Then (time was running so fast) i painted quick the new Shovelcylinder first with rust protection and then in Black.

After that, i made a rocksolid Steelmount, by an Angle iron 5mm and a Clamp Plate to distribute the Force of the new Cylinder

to a wider area in the FEL strut.

yes , you're right, i welded it quick and dirty but it lasts, that was important.

let's see how it works in Winter....

i also changed again the drive belt from an 1180mm to an 1170mm one, wich Idealizes the function of the clutch ,

for max friction in drive and also for complete interrupt without any rips or fract- fricts in gear while released.

Here i got my destination reached. This was the perfect lenght.

As i calculated, my FEL is now able also on highest stage to empty the Shovel.

more Agle will just be possible, if i made a mech. movement enhancer but actual i have maybe no need for

- we will see how it works in Winter.

image.jpeg

The new Seals

Yes i know, not an eyecatcher, but stable....😎

image.jpeg

image.jpeg

The Light Bar on the FEL is also active (more Light)

LED is brighter than it appears in Picture..

image.jpeg

That's it for Today...

next time i think i have to shorten the Front pipes in FEL and clean the Front with caps.

maybe from 3D Printer...

but now do a testdrive around the Company .... Think 3 times....😂

Then back home

Doin today a 3 hr. Ride cross through the forrest, asked the Owner before i did it.

after i got his ok, i go for a expanded Testride...

My actual Results after that ride:

I driven a climbing hilly way, to look how good the traction of rear Tyres workin.

They got a real good grip, even on extreme bevel Ground i'm impressed how the small tractor graves his Way..

also in mud it grips so far, ok got few Clothes to wash, but hey it was a Testdrive 😂

If the Way goes too strong, the tyres begin just to dig. So far i'm good with my choosed Tyres.

If - as it was today, the Way was that slippery i didn't wanna leave my Tractor because It's too slippery for me and

my Tractor gets a bit more - so everything is allright. I.M.H.O.

1. The Beltclutch works perfect, i can even shift while moving without any noise from the Gear.

To find this optimum, i need a few belts, but now i got a perfect workin one.

2. In combination with any Cylinder endpoint hit and highes Gear, the Enginebelt definitiveley slips

that causes earlier wasting of belt.  Traction itself was given, only the Enginebelt begins sometimes to cry,

so the span will maybe not enough - here i need a bit shorter Enginebelt.

Then i dig a Shovel full of gravel and continouse my Testride with filled Shovel....

Wooohooo, i love it how that small FEL can work. 😇👍🚜

Playing about half hour with improoved FEL....

Feel like a kid with new Toys.... I enjoy that....

Ok, rear tyres need weights with more weight in Shovel, that's definiteley for shure, but with momentum i can dig into gravelpile and get my shovel to 3/4 full.

With this fill ( don't know how much load it definiteley was) i can drive carefully without rearweights on 80cm lifted FEL.

- not Bad- but i can feel it's going to be more wobbly.

The rear tyres begin earlier just to dig but so far i got 100% success with it, never believed that it worked that Style..

Hard to describe how proud i am to my work.

Then i driven back to gravelpile, lift carefully the gravel in shovel up and empty the Shovel.

after a height of ab. 1,60m iam going to empthy Shovel fast, because wobbly began to be critical.

I tryed also use a rope, and move a small laying tree..

it was a ripped tip of a spruce with about 3m lenght.

moved it outta Way -works-

than i bind it on FEL and try to Lift, hardes issue was to find the balance.

yap, also workin... And can drive with it... - it is so cool...

it was a very nice tip, good enough for a christmas tree...😍

have to ask, if i can recover 😇 1,5m Tree shall be fine...

Ok, we allready purchased a Tree, but this one was then transported by my Wheelhorse....😂

Chainsaw is prepared....*remind* -  have a lot of Discussions with my better half🙄😎😂

All in resume

even if it just was a 212 Wheelhorse, it can now wokin better as i confidence or expected.

It just was a simple SitOn mower before, not very carefully handled, but now it was a fantastic Multitool.

I even enjoied the ride out of hektik -

just tuc tuc tuc....

a exchange Seat is not an 1-st option, i want to replace the Original Cover anybody has infos about?

like to keep the original saddle becaue it was very comfortable.

Otherwise i have to go to a saddler to get good replacement.

Rethinkin on a complete rework for the whole Backend.

i calculated a bit.

My Datas told me the max load over Axle can be 238 Kilos.

Puttin on friday the Tractor quick on libra.

Tractors weight itself on rear Axle was actual 67 Kilos as it is, with me in seat it was 139 Kilos,

so if i get the Datas i have and calculate a bit arround with spare -

i can load 200Kilos (to have a bit spare because axle is not new)

-139 kilos was 61 Kilos i can load additionally.

with 61 Kilos i am able to made a complete new Backend.

if i do, i planing also to improove the Axlemount and maybe a tail lift will be a good idea.

So there was 39Kilo spare, enough for Trailerload on the hook.

My idea was an added backend with an additional pulley, wich can be connected by separate Belt on the Drivepulley

(where i attached the hydraulics before)

With this Item i was able to attach mooved items on Back.

Thinkin around that idea.....

Hmmm

Plow Plow Plow a little Snow Snow Snow....☃❄️

Hehehe,

first test was made - so far yes, it works.

not on all circumstances, but good enough for my needs actual.

We have just a few cm Snow and i went out for a Testdrive - what else- and my Plow works nice.

Even the Traction on my Tyres was better than i expected if Plow is down.

When Plow is lifted, i feel the beginning miss on rear weight, because Tyres begin to dig.

Shure, if there was much more Snow i need definitely more weight on rear Axle,

that tuc tuc will push harder but i'm amused of the Fun, Snowplow can make.

.

if i provoke it, i can easy make a Burnout behind the Plow.... 😂😂

Plow the Way upwards - bit uphill- was not usefull possible, here i missing Wheelweights.

without Plow, i can drive carefully without slip.

Happy with first Result.

Hope it snows more, that i can do more tests,

So a bit of setup have to be done
