Still buying different Wheel Horsekeyswitches

Recommended Posts

Lane Ranger

It still amazes me how many different key switches that WheelHorse andToro used on their various model tractors!  I learn something new with eachswitch!

When it comes down to the Indak switches. I usually buy a the switch to fit my needs (magneto or coil ignition) then just remove the wires from the plug and reconfigure them to work with the switch if, need be.

Lane I remember one of my first was a 312A. It had a funky foot pedal switch that had to fitted just right  to start the tractor. It was a great tractor other than the safety switches.

Here is a list of the various ways Indak  makes its three position key switches from their website, they have   3, 4, 5 and some 6 lugs on the switches.

Makes for a lot of permutations folks!

Elkskin's mower junkyard

On the 753 and 552 of mine they are running on off switches from snowblower. The 753 has a 1958 k160 bolens engine running the k161 magneto and bearing cover. The 552 has a h70 on it

Anyone know what differs on the Indak 6 pole switches with part #103991 that have (Number 3) on the Ground pole vs (Letter G)??  Same part numbers, look the same but has that #3?

This diagram shows #3 not the more common G switch?

Sorry tried to just paste a pic here but Ebay didnt allow me to copy it.

Could be, It would just pop up during my search. I didn't chase it because my part had (G) & its common.

I hit on this chart for Oregon switches too fwiw. Idk if Indak makes their switches, number system really differs but might help someone?

Lane they do make tools to remove the connector from the housing. There are videos on YouTube  shows how use them. I bought a kit with about twenty different tools.
