Spark Plugs

I used to collect spark plugs, cheap plugs without spark arrestors begging for trouble.

Any brand but Champion.NGK in the Stihls and Autolites in the rest of the gas engines.I brought home a 2cylinder JD tractor.Fired it up and it ran on 1 cylinder.Shut it off and pulled the bad plug ang left the plug wire on and grounded it.Fired it back up and watched as the spack jumped from the electrode to the insulator.Nothing across the gap.Odd thing is I have had more than one Champion do that.

The other brand my auto parts store normally has is Autolite so i use them.   I also use copper core wires and non resistor plugs frequently.  My old tractors with Mags like that and works on the whs well also.  if i interferes with some yuppies GPS driving down my dirt road TDB.

@pfrederi and @JAinVA have you all tried the E3 plugs ? Use them in blower , push mower etc , wish I could find for the Horse. There does not seem to be a cross to the Champions last time I looked.

I tried one once and it did fine. Not sure what I used it on,maybe a Briggs push mower.I go to the local NAPA, ask for plugs for something and the only thing I won't buy is a Champion.

I hate to say it but it is one product that avoid at any cost.
