Frustrated trip

Recommended Posts

Tractorhead

Today i traveled in a so called "well sorted" Toro Servicestation near Berlin,

that's about 370 mile away from my home.

I have the big hope, that i will find here some "older or used" parts in usable condition...

- but nothing...

Sure, it was a huge Area, but just filled with a lot of totaly damaged crap from cheapes Brands ....

They just have 2 new "Plastic mower Tractors"  and only one was a Toro and a lot of new "plasticparts" for cheapest gardenmower and that's it...

absolutely no parts for older Toro machines or Toro spare parts, what i woud expect normally at such a Station.

what a f... 370 miles for nothing - just to see a few parts of crap.

I was looking, to find maybe 2 Wheelweights new or used and maybe a small Shovel for my frontloader..

what a frustrating trip -

it shall be prohibited, they call themself a "huge Toro Servicestation"..

Sorry but that trip frustrates me today -

Stefan

Gotta love false advertisement........ :ranting:

I know you could find some here in the states, but shipping would be very expensive. I imagine parts for older machines in Germany are pretty scarce. Good luck with the search!!

Gutten Tag  :handgestures-thumbupright:  Welcome to Red Square

I think you should contact @Skipper  , he just brought over a whole truck container of Wheel Horse and TORO parts and horses from the states.  I think he is in Denmark.  He may have what you are looking for, so it will not be a wasted trip.  :occasion-xmas:

I love a good road trip, but maybe a call to the place first could have saved you from the disappointment.

The best places to go hunting ( here in the states anyway ) are usually the mom & pop outdated service / lawn & garden shops .

They're getting harder and harder to find but the reward for a little digging is usually pretty substantial .

Keep after it .....

lawn equipment dealer near me (not Toro) has quit stocking and selling anything used. His insurance is a lot lower because the liability on a used part is totally on him, new parts and equipment can be passed on to the manufacturer.

Yes, you are right, normally i will do so before, but in case of a lot of good issues and real cool deals in the past,

i doubt it is not necassary.

What a fail... Ok - not at all !

**** happens -  grab anytime the best of a situation - thats my main motto, i just was disappointed hmm forgotten about.

- the good part of the day was, my wife and i have a very nice eveving here near Berlin.

Finished with a good Dinner and closing up with a funny Movie at a local Cinema.

So this day was independently of the worse Toro Station - i deleted this on my reminder - a success! 😎

It just depends of the point of view - but thanks for the Info about @skipper.

It was not Urgently an real search, it was just a"looking for trip" but for my expectations about that advertising i was really disappointed.

Each farm machinery dealer arround my home is better sorted, than this guys - however...

I know, not really economic, driving that far for a shopping trip - but hey - no Hobby is economic at all.

My Wheel Horse becomes my new Hobby and it is definiteley with a huge addiction.....😇😉

..... it can be expanded... *g*

@Tractorhead  Just send me a PM with a list of what you need. I have a new container full of tractors and parts leaving the US this year also, so I can bring whatever you want, if I don't have it on the shelves already ;-)

Im in denmark, but I can also ship it to you if you like :-)

Back home,

independently of the Station, we made us nice Weekend Near Berlin.

@Skipper thanks for your Offer, but i will First search at out local farmmachine traders,

and if i fail, i will contact you. Things i looking fore, are not a really need, they are just a like to have...

Main issue iam looking for are :

for Onan E125V engine

valvecover gasket

intake valve seal

(or maybe better a whole gasket set for the Engine.)

to reduce the oil spill on my engine.

it maily blows a small blue colored cloud, while starting and this i associate shall be a defect intake seal.

Compression is still good and when the engine is running and warm, just a light oil smell can be taste.

Maybe also pistonrings and a hohne wil be necassary, but this i like to check

The Engine gaskets, except the head gasket, for the E125V are available in one kit. The Onan # is 102-1433 and we keep them in stock if you can't locate it in Germany. Intake seal is # 509-0289 and also stocked. This is the gasket kit pictured. :) Note: Gasket kit is for all specs except 11531. If you have the spec # 11531 on your motor tag, this gasket kit is not correct.

Woooohoooo !!!! - Great !

i will doubleckeck tomorrow, i saw today a sign on the Engine,

but they painted it, so it's hard to read with a torch.

Maybe at daylight it's better to read.

i will also use some colorcleaber with caution.

If so, can i PM you for Order or shall i mail you?

I definitely didn't find it at any source, here in Germany.

thanks for that great news!

Regards

Stefan

A PM will work. The E125V spec #'s that kit # 102-1433 is correct for are any of the following: 11217, 11294, 11315, 11326, 11330, 11474, 11536 and 11537. If you locate any of these spec numbers on the tag, you are in luck!

Yes it will. There are about 40 more spec numbers for the E125V! In the kit are the following gaskets:

1 Ea. 110-3598 valve cover
1 Ea. 110-3588 oil base
2 Ea. 146-0486 carb
1 Ea. 146-0484 carb
1 Ea. 140-2329 carb/air cleaner

Here is the Onan Production order for your model.
