What's missing ?

  For some reason I haven't noticed this before when I picked up this tractor... something was missing. Any ideas?

You don't have a dial-a-height thingy. Some of the 300's and GT models didn't come with them standard. You can add one. They used to sell a complete kit but now you'll most likely have to find used parts but that should be easy. 🙂

So if we search for "Thingy" in the WH Manual Section - this thingy should pop right up???!!!

First of all I think he is referring to his choke.

If "Thingy" fails to come up in your search you can try "Doohickey"!

Sorry, I do not. I have 2 running 312's and a 312 roller. I will try to check the roller to see if it still has the chole cable.

Give these a look. I've always had good luck the cables from here. You will most likely have to trim it to length.

My 16 hp Work Horse didn't have the dial-a-height.

Found one on eBay, $20. Easy to install.

I went to eBay and type in dial-a-height  and it didn’t come up.

Any idea on the keyword.

A-Z Tractors (vendor section) has every thing you need, put one on my 312 last year. You will need the dash and shiftier plates also or you can notch the ones you have. Go to the manual section and pull up the parts list for a later model 312, or any 400 series it will show you everything you need.

You can also try. "Wheel Horse" search on eBay.

Lots of stuff to page thru but, that's how I found the Dial-A-Height for my Work Horse.
