mikemc53 10 #1 Posted August 27, 2018 I want to remove the PTO clutch on my C-81 and not sure what I'll need, tools-wise. It looks like snap ring pliers to start with but after the outside snap ring is off, what comes next? Thanks gang.
clueless 2,898 #2 Posted August 27, 2018 Once you remove the pin that connected to the U shaped rod that engages the clutch, it should slide off. The snap ring doesn't keep it on the shaft, it keeps the bearings and guts in the pulley.
MalMac 1,328 #3 Posted August 27, 2018 The question needs to asked, what are you wanting to do as to how you want to disassemble it.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,488 #4 Posted August 27, 2018 Good info in this service manual. Pto is in section 9. Click on the picture. Garry
953 nut 51,541 #5 Posted August 27, 2018 There may be a small break shoe at the upper left side of the PTO that would need to be removed too.
