Caleb enjoyed hanging with your son at the Big Show and I enjoyed tossing the football with them both!9163833B-0E0E-4EA3-BF11-93221CF70AA7.jpeg.1f0b893d9f2c3165ccdd83ceb738074c.jpeg

I always enjoy the work that you’ve done on your tractors and can’t wait to watch this one come together.  I’ll also be watching the Super C resto since I have one of those in my near future as well...

Some pictures of he C being disassembled. I put this one off due to the headache of the three point and rear pto on it.

I need ti find the link link to the member here making the rear fender pans...

More progress today. I found a local auto paint store sells ready mixed auto paint and it is a really good match (at least the chip was).

You do know "Victory Red" is a Chevrolet name for the their red paint from late 80s-90s.

I have heard. I matched it up to my 420 and it is almost an exact match.

I love seeing that young wheel horse restorer “in-training” laying down that sharp red liquid and having fun doing it!:text-bravo:

Got the black on the hoods and other misc parts. Used Duplicolor ready mix jet black from autozone. It is laquer and when sprayed had a textured finish. I like that and was looking for that but the can said nothing about textured??

That textured finish is most likely from the paint flashing off too fast - looks like it never had a chance to level itself out. Might have to use a higher heat range reducer depending upon the makeup of the paint itself. Lacquer can flash off really quickly and cause cracking problems - there are additive chemicals that can help with that as well.

Any time I shoot paint in the sun it automatically gets mixed with high temp reducer - makes a world of difference in gloss and buffing work.

I have no interest in taking apart the 3 point and rear pto set up to really clean up the parts. I used pressure washer and got it real clean, primed with self etching primer and went to town. This is a worker and not a show machine. It is cleaning up real nice though

Nope. This one will be better and oem. Have to beef up the legs and she will be fine.
