Dad needs a hobby

Hi Chaps

After attending a local vehicle show I came across a beautiful miniature tractor. I have since learned it was a Wheelhorse.

Since then I have looked at nothing else on the internet and have decided I must have one in my life

There doesn't seem to be many vintage ones here for sale in the uk. Can anyone give me any idea of how much they sell for here or in the states.

Ideally Id like a Suburban or something upto about 1970's in good working condition.

thanks Peter

Keep an eye on eBay as they do come up. You should find something in the £500 - £750 range for a decent one

If you place an ad here it will be viewed by European members.   http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/classifieds/euro-wanted_12/

My wife always asks if I am looking at naked tractors.    :ychain:             Be aware, these things can become addictive.

Right there with you brother.

Except in my case substitute the word red for the word tractor.

I don't have a tractor problem!

So what if two years ago I only had one and now there's going to be 4 at my house pretty soon plus a bunch of parts.

@Dad needs a hobby... Love your screen name!

Peter, Welcome to Red Square.  You might send a PM (personal message) to @Skipper (Tom)...he lives in Denmark and he just brought a boat load of horses over from the states.  He may be able to sell you one of those.  :occasion-xmas:  Costs here for most are from $200 to around $800 depending on kind, shape, desire, etc. Some can be a lot more.

Hi guys,

thanks for getting back to me, Im defo going to keep a look out. They do seem to be cheaper stateside than here. I wonder how much it would be to import a suburban to the UK.

I love minature working vehicles. For a hobby I build and sell little landrovers that can be driven by adults and children. For power I use shop rider mobility scooter motor and transaxle so they can carry a load of weight.

Im pretty confident I could restore a wheelhouse to a high standard as Im not to shabby with a spray gun
