resurrecting the c111

I bought a c111 two or three years back and she has been back burnered since purchace. Now entering the second summer at my house the yard is taking its toll on my 655 (witch i used to plow my driveway this winter past). So I dragged the c111 out of storage. I tore into it made a list and set about getting it running. well this evening to catch a glimpse of the light at the end of the tunnel i jumped a few wires, hooked up the new fuel pump and with out much hesitation she came back to life. now to check off everything on the list. pics and updates to come.

New fuel tank grommet in, fuel line run, new fuel pump, new battery, new battery cable, fuel tank installed, seat pan installed, seat (not jd but broken gardening seat from harbor freight). Still chasing wiring gremlins but it's running. Rode it out to get the mail! Few more odds and ends to tinker with but there is light at the end of the tunnel!20180526_120450.jpg.ecedb99fd8e812d8e3cff47f3e133d2c.jpg

I sorted out the wiring, put air in the tires and took the plunge... the c111 bravely battled the yard and won(mostly) I will be finishing it tomorrow. I am learning the quirks such as it likes to pop out of high range, it doesn't charge, the clutch spring is week(I have a new one), and a few others but I am happy with it. I am fond of my 655 but there is a different feel to the c111. With the 655 you do(work) and marvel that it does, and with the c111 it just does.20180602_134015.jpeg.f98e34c7b9f1fd1d46ffcdc56a5c9564.jpeg20180602_134020.jpeg.4d2de8965c4b0d8572b069539f20ed6c.jpeg20180602_134502.jpeg.5444af7aa345a475db86999f9c6d1cac.jpeg
