What are these?

Check end play on the crankshaft, if the thrust bearing is going out you might excessive end play

Well it was the thrust bearing and we did have about a 1/4 play on the crankshaft.  They recommended a rebuild or a new engine.  Just went and found a low hour 416H and a 312H and spent less on both than to replace the motor.

Don't discard the camshaft, the pullers with the K-341's like that shaft, a little more lift 

than the stock 341's. Check Brian Millers web site, might be worth a little change.

I found two much newer wheel horse tractors for $900 on with 300 hours and one with 500.   For that it doesnt pay to put money into a 1800 hour tractor.
