WHAT WAS THE LAST YEAR OF THE GT14 TRACTOR

Hello to all my wheel horse family,

 i am new to red square,  but a long time  wheel horse lover,  haha so excuse me if i,m not all there.  having been able to upload any pics but that's another story

the real reason i,m here because i was wondering if ....... any one has one of the last year wheel horse gt14 ? or know what year was the last year ? and was there any deference?   have  3 wheel horse gt14 but one is all factory,  in like new condition and is nothing like my other ones

:WRS:         The GT-14 was produced from '69 to '72. I am not aware of any changes, but I only own one, a '70.

There were some sold in 1973 but likely left over from the 1972 model year. They were considered 1973 models with a 1-0502-8 model number. Click on the photo

Odd, what was the dash -8 designation for ? Certainly wasn't an 8spd trans...?

You will see a 6th digit of 6, 7, 8 or 9 added to the model numbers of the tractors and attachments representing 1971, 1972, 1973 and 1974. Subtract 5 from that 6th digit to get the model year ie. 8-5=3=1973.

Realised this after recording the model numbers with serial numbers. Clearly evident what they had done.

About that time many attachment model numbers were carried over from your to year and that 6th digit was a way to identify the model year. Much easier than using the serial numbers.

Had their computers been up to date at the time things would have been much different.

Super-C 4 me

1969 had the gas tank sticking through an opening in the grill, the following years the grill is solid.

Only difference I know of
