Hawk26 2 #1 Posted March 13, 2018 I'm looking for a 42" mower deck for my 516-H. Seeking expertise from WH owners who can tell me what mower decks will fit or how I can determine what mower decks will fit the 516-H model. I believe the 516-H was only manufactured in 1988 and then the 520 followed in 1989. Are there strict requirements when matching a mower deck to the 516-H garden tractor? Can someone elaborate? Actually just about anything from 2007 back, that has the Tach-a-Matic hitch will fit. Your tractor is not an orphan, that is the great thing about Wheel Horse. Ed Kennell 35,585 #4 Posted March 13, 2018 Yes, any deck that uses the front mule drive except the 60" off a 520 or the XI series. Early 70s thru early 90s decks should fit. Vertical shaft engine decks will not fit. The earlier pre 70 side drive decks can be made to work with some minor mounting/lift mods. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,478 #5 Posted March 13, 2018 Here are the decks in the order they were produced Side discharge model 05-42MS05 produced in 1988 DNA 5-1001 replaces RL-426, 5-1421, 5-1422, 5-1423, 5-1000 5-1001 replaced by 1973-74 model 5-1010, 5-1011, 5-1012, 65-42MS01, 65-42MS02, 75-42MS01 (Blades up to this point had a 5/8" x 3/4" double-D center hole) (The following decks used blades with a 3/4" center hole) 75-42MS02, 85-42MS01, 95-42MS00, 95-42MS01, 05-42MS01, 05-42MS02, 05-42MS03, 05-42MS04, 05-42MS05, 15-42SC01, 15-42SC02, 15-42SC03, 78345 Rear discharge model 05-42MR04 produced in 1988 DNA 75-42MR01 replaces 1976 model 65-42MR01 (Both use blades with 5/8" x 3/4" double-D center hole) 75-42MR01 replaced by 75-42MR02, 85-42MR01, 95-42MR01, 95-42MR02, 05-42MR01, 05-42MR02, 05-42MR03, 05-42MR04, 15-42RC01, 15-42RC02, 78350 (The use blades with 3/4" center hole) Blades with the 5/8" x 3/4" double-D center hole are no longer available.
