Well, hate to say it...i let the smoke out.

And anyone who deals w/ voltage and amps can tell ya, keepin the smoke in is a MUST for correct operation of electrical systems!

Looks like the original harness had the coil wire wrapped tight around a ground, and over time.....sooooo, got me some wiring to do!

Yep, keeping the magic blue smoke in DC electrical stuff is an operational requirement.

But you can always put it back in with a few new parts!

Yep! Fortunately i managed to sort out everything and can see where everything goes, i yanked the coil wire loose from the eyelet, but it, the start relay wire, main hot coming back from the start relay supply side, and a couple others got good and glowing before I got er shut down, and the battery cable off.

Had a similar issue recently on my charger 12.  Now everything but the starter is fused.  Better to change a fuse than the wiring.

No they are not, picked them up on :techie-ebay:, @ebinmaine pointed me to them and was a good deal think 70$ with shipping and 2 tubes to go into them. Seem like they are a pretty soild tire so far and easy enough to mount!

How do you get it back into the loom from out of the jar? surely as soon as you take the lid off, it escapes? Are there different types of smoke? Why doesn’t it always escape when a connected wire breaks, or you cut it? 🤔🤔🤔💥🔥

If you also found a New Old Stock set of mirrors you would be able to install so much easier!

I was going to post a bottle of that but didn't want to offend our English friends. Is it certified to work on a negative ground ssystem?

Well I managed to get the smoke back in! I had to rig an impromptu hadron collider to release the smoke particles back from the surrounding atmosphere, capture the smoke molecules in a magnetic field , and then use my rail gun to fire the molecules back into the wiring, now bear in mind this all has to be done in a near perfect vaccum!20210529_125425.jpg.be5b69f335f1c9ed76cbec7de9e3755d.jpg
