They moved a heckovalotta firewood from the woodshed to the basement. This space was empty of firewood... We reorganized the "parts department" again. Started by taking out a little tree that was in the way of the tarp. Trina's first time ever using a chain saw. (Small electric one). Moved her mom's future tractor (C100) and Trina's next project (856 from @Herder) close to the pallet area... Recovered the area. Moved the 1267 mongrel and Charger 12 into the workshop. The 1267 will be dismantled for parts. The Charger of course is my hydro experiment tractor project. We've had a pile of stone in the side parking area for like 2 years. Dwindling as we used it wherever we needed to. Today we finished flattening/distributing the last of that 14 yard truckload. I sledgehammered out a few rocks from the path around the horse stable and moved 3, 10 cubic foot loads of that stone there. I know the pic is a bit dark but it was dark when we stopped....... While using the Cinnamon Horse dozer plow I discovered that the modification I made to the lift mechanism was moving. Removed it. Flipped it. Drilled a new hole. Installed it. Fixed... For now... I'll need to make up a thicker one soon. At the end of the day we got Trina's 867 ready for the impending 8 to 12 inches of snow over the next couple of days. Fresh fallen snow is lovely to go for a forest walk in. Beautiful. So quiet. Peaceful. I love the fact that we have 4 full complete total seasons here. It gives you an appreciation of ALL of the seasons. Snow totals here on the mountain side will surpass 5 or 6 ft most years. Somebody had run into a couple of bolts with the lower hood, or it may have been the same bolt twice at a different place. Busted the paint and was rusting. I ground off the paint and knocked out what I could get. Filled the area, didn't quite get enough area filled. I didn't have any regular filler so I used BJ Weld and you don't put any extra on as it's hard to remove. I'm not building a show tractor. tring to stop the rust and make it look a little better. Don't use JB Weld for filler unless you have some good Gator Sandpaper. I also knocked a dent out under the right head light I got most of it. I painted the red and put a heat lamp on it for a couple of hours then painted the black after lunch. Lowe's had some Troy Buit Red that I tried looks to be close to Toro Red. Trina ran the snowblower around a little to break through. Then we got the horses out and set to work. Each of us got stuck once. No big deal. Just a bit of a tug or a shovel. Driveway and roads are bare, maybe 1" total in the yard from all the storms this year combined till now. Got this tractor from @Shynon, an older resto of his, couple of years ago and has always been my go to tub puller and a tractor show must have. He always said good candidate for a repaint. He was right ... after looking at some of his paint runs worst than me after our new years lobster feed!
