:woohoo:        Usually takes four hours to get the hubs and hitch off, you done GOOOOOOOD!

After I got it that far I spent many hours plus broke a few tools getting the steering wheel off of the shaft. I was successful & was able to save the wheel.

I just installed the front tach a matic on my 1257. Had to trim the sides of the hood bracket like instructions said. I plan on touching up the tractor in the spring can't really do it when it's 14 degrees.

Last night I Broke a tire away from the rim on the rear tire. I just take a 3 foot 4x6 with an angle cut that comes to a 20 degree point at the rim and drive the truck up the incline. The tire peels away and then a few whacks with a 3 pound hammer and a very blunt chisel or a crow bar point breaks it away. If it works at 12 degrees F, then it just plain works.

Absolutely amazed that this particular tire was 40+ years old and still holding air

Rebuilt the carb (again) on the C-160. Got the Carbunkles out from sitting. Now it runs without the choke again! :banana-wrench:

@Big_Red_Fred I figured you found one , those of us on limited incomes can't live the high like and cruise all the on  line ads of tractors for sale so we can make a purchase.

Used a crowbar, heat, BFH, and had been soaking the hitch on the 857 for a few weeks with PB Blaster.  Finally started moving on the pin.  Boy, was it stuck!

Also pulled the head to check the piston, cylinder walls, and valve.

WHX??

Worked on the K301 a little, just something about a fresh piston in a fresh bore. Waiting on an exhaust valve to show up that I should have ordered weeks ago!

I had this happen while I was out plowing. Original Wheel Horse tire. 1968 Commando 8 Fleet Farm has them for $50.00 a piece. Any other suggestions?

Do they have them in a saw tooth pattern like the originals? I don't recall seeing that pattern there. Either way that's not a terrible price. You could check Miller Tire, Amazon or :techie-ebay:also.

Here is a picture. It's basically a trailer tire. Thanks for the suggestions.
