Would anyone now if a forward swept axle for a 520 fit on a 1277??

Yes it will, but you'll either need to make your own tie rods or take the lower steering shaft and tie rods from the 520 as well. Better to get it all and move it over. If the 520 has reduction steering (post 1991), you'll need the upper steering shaft as well.

Well did some more cutting with the patched deck. I think the deck itself is warped cause it leaves a odd pattern in the grass. Whatever. Doesn’t dig into the dirt.

Really I’m just happy to have a usable deck for once. Hard to find any decent wheel horse stuff by me.

Im thinking I’ll try to hunt down another horse sometime this summer. My collection has been knocked down quite a bit. (2 tractors)

Might look for a hydro with a really nice deck, that way I’ll have a mowing horse, and a snow horse.

Check the height adjustment rod with the wheels seen those twisted causing one side to mow lower. 42" decks are bad to get cracked at the height adjustor and rust out causing that side to mow lower. the deck that came with my 520 was that way. It could be bent where the spindle is mounted.

Or a @SylvanLakeWH approved herd.

I believe we agreed that it should be a minimum of two Horses per implement.

I'm willing to sacrifice down to a couple "spares" given that I now have multiple implements.

@Lee1977 yeah that was my first thought. Unfortunately the middle spindle is visibly crooked.

Tuneup

K301 is finally buttoned up to the level of the head with its nice grade 8 bolts. and fresh exhaust valve. Two flywheel magnets reattached with JB Weld. This afternoon (I have a Ham exam at 1), it will be lowered into the frame. Sadly, not ready to start as the starter spring is junk and has to be sourced out at Ace. And, so goes Saturday.

I have a blowing horse with cab, a plowing horse, a loader horse and a mowing horse.  I really “need” a stick shift tilling horse and one more do everything horse.  Of course a spare for when one is down for maintenance should round out the herd, I don’t want to have excessive stock.

Dragging the extra boards from the treehouse build back up the hill.  I had to go back about four generations for my lumberjack inspiration.

the temp set of front wheels and tires on the Cinnamon Horse C160 just to hold it off the ground til I get the permanent set tubed.

Well I used the Cinnamon Horse for few jaunts up and down into the backyard moving the loam from the driveway to the new garden site.

My goal for using the larger front tires and longer spindles was to raise the Mackissic chipper UP at the front so it cleared the ground.

I have to say... The "temporary tires" at 23 x 8.5 are VERY handy for driving through the forest paths and the mud/muck/dirt out in the garden area.

The flotation of the wide tires is excellent.

This particular set won't live there because they're uuuugly and one leaks.

Naawww just kidding phone went screwball....head gasket was leaking. Head bolts real loose so a new gasket and inspection.

Clutch was always grabby and has orginal WH rubber belt so going to try a TSC one. Replaced a roll in in the steering.

Smoked like a bandito.... too much seafoam or stabil so fresh gas and a oil change straightened that out.

I like that green.

The red is nice too, but I like that green.
