Please educate me Bob.  What is a double belt cover?

701 was the only model that had two belts from the starter to the flywheel pulley. The double thick cover for some reason is missing on many 701's. When a cover is found, they usually sell for big bucks.

This old Ed Dog is still learning.  I will definitely keep my eyes open for double wide start/gen belt guards.  Thanks Bob.

That’s the second 701 cover in 2 weeks on there, the other one was half the price of the one on there now. Glad mine has one.

He is just praying that someone is absolutely convinced that this is the last one on the face of the earth and they NEED it.

We have all sen things go for crazy money on there. Several years ago my wife noticed an item on my watch list had no bids and was about to expire so she pulled the trigger so I wouldn't miss out on it. I explained that I was only watching it to see if anyone would be stupid enough to buy it at that price! Guess what, she was.   :(    I love her anyway.

Kohler didn't have the Automatic Compression Release in 1961 so it took a bit more to turn them over than a single belt could handle. In '62 the added the ACR.

You are probably correct, just know that the '61 needed two belts and the '62 cm was different and solved the problem.

Real men do not need belt covers....keep your fingers way from the belt.  (Belt covers and such are why the gene pool is so polluted these days:P)

Funny you should say that. This morning someone asked me why there seem to be more wackos out there today. My answer was OSHA!

YUP the last one sold for 139.00 and this one is 150.00 but this one is complete I sense a lot of jealousy. no one asked you to buy it!

Yes, but the marketplace dictates value. There is a limited supply of buyers who NEED one that badly. I see no one bought it and you relisted it. Good luck.
