Onan P220 Carb Main Jet

Hi Guys,

I’m cleaning the Onan P220 carb on my 520H. It’s a Nikki 146-0479 carb. I was wondering if the main jet needs An o ring and if so which type and size? There was no o ring when I took it apart.

there is no o-ring to seal the main jet. ( # 134 on most )

early nikki's used an aluminum washer seal.

 

when you think about it, they have a machined brass surface against a machined aluminum surface,

so no seal is needed.

Great point Boomer! I did reinstall it without the o-ring earlier. I’m reinstalling the carb tomorrow and running it. Cross your fingers👍
