The hood on my 520-8 almost hits the ground when I open it, what is a good way to fix this?  Thanks

I don't know if your 520 is like my 310 but when I had the hood off ,it opened too far when I put it back on and it turned out that I had switched the steel brackets that bolt to the hood and the rod goes through as a hinge around by mistake. Please excuse my Dutch as I described it.  Mal    :)

This is the solution I used.  Cost nothing and it is very effective.

Looks like you already have the solution, put a 5000W generator on the front!!!

That does work! but the hood hits the generator haha and when it goes back to mowing duty the hood stops on the mule drive and wth nothing on the front it will almost touch the ground
