Nice :handgestures-thumbupright: You're not careful she's gonna go as fast as that plane!

Some rubber and you'll have a nice roller, speaking of which what are your plans for tires?

WHX12 i’m Going with turf tires.  Just have to save for them they are a little salty I hope to have them by the end of the year.  I would really love to put ags on but unfortunately nobody makes them in 27x9.5-15 anymore.  And the ones that came on the tractor are not usable

Try to route those hydro lines as far as possible from that direction control linkage - it moves quite a bit in that area . That's going to be one sweet GT-14 for sure , can't wait to see the finished result . Always kind of wanted one myself , but every one I ever found close by was either overpriced by a mile or in such bad condition it would be easier to build one from scratch .

Thanks Sarge,  believe it or not the hoses are not hitting the linkage.  Spent quite a few hours making sure nothing touches.  It was a chore because you can’t get the original hose ends that wheel horse used had to go to the next size up which made things a little more difficult.  But nothing money won’t fix.

i fell in love with GT14 the first time I saw one at the big show. I had to buy two so I could make one.  I had to make all of the bushings and spacers for the old girl.  This was definitely more of a challenge to restore than the C120 I did a few years ago.

All the early model tractors prior to '73 used a lot of very specific sized bushings - most of which aren't available new and most times not something you can get off the shelf - if you're going to work on those models you'd be wise to invest in a small lathe - which causes even more expenses , lol....

I can't tell you how many parts I've had to make like that - but the parts I've made were an upgrade by a mile compared to what was originally used and should outlive me easily . Biggest upgrades are to the front axle and all those pivot point bushings on the tractors - some of the originals were plastic where they should have been bronze or brass at least . Due to stress I've even done some of them in bearing grade steel , which isn't cheap but worth the effort to prevent and stop wear problems . I wish I had a decent sized mill - it would be far easier to set up a jig and bore out axles to fit sleeves and correct worn holes that are no longer round instead of using bridge reamers and sizing reamers to get the holes to the right size . Once done - those axles are better than new and if properly greased should never wear out another spindle - many of which are again NLA parts . The uses for a lathe are endless - not sure how I'd get anything done without mine...

Welcome to that club as well! Maybe we should make our own badge. Many of us had to get two or more for parts to make one!

Looking forward to see what you are doing with the engine! :handgestures-thumbupright:

I made one a couple years ago, need to update it as the Suburban changed hands and I have added several since then.    :ROTF:

953 that is awesome still wondering why these little tractors are so addictive.  Once you get one it is like crack you can’t stop.  I have been waiting and watching for the right C-195 to come along I swear I have a problem.

Those rear turfs look great.  Where did you get them and how bad is your bank account hurting?  My GT14 tires are crusty on both of my machines.
