PeacemakerJack 10,670 #101 Posted January 28, 2018 Ironically, I had the same initial thought but because I knew what it said the connection was made. We can certainly play with the lettering or possibly even a word change to “Gauge Wheel” or “Guide Wheel” or “Depth Wheel”or...? Terry is awesome and I’m definitely impressed with his work... 3
Vinylguy 4,666 #102 Posted January 28, 2018 I will make the changes later tonight . 25 minutes ago, PeacemakerJack said: Ironically, I had the same initial thought but because I knew what it said the connection was made. I think guide wheel. Should be easy to make a G that fits in with the old wheel Horse script.

What if you took the lower case “e” in wheel and flipped it over to be an “a” . It looks like in that font it would work if you cleaned up the bottom of the e when flipped over and shortened it. Im on my phone so its the best I could do. If you weren't standing on your head it might be a bit better.
19richie66 16,879 #104 Posted January 28, 2018 Sorry, not being critical. I think it looks awesome. Just was my first thought. Maybe because I had just got home from church. That’s it. 3
PeacemakerJack 10,670 #105 Posted January 28, 2018 (edited) HEY!!! Maybe we could leave it just the way that it is. Speaking of church Richie, my dad is a traveling missionary/minister. An occasional mistaken identity of Land vs Lord wouldn’t be the worst mistake in this case. Kinda reminds me of that Carrie Underwood song from a few years ago, “Jesus take the wheel”! Terry, if you are playing with stuff for it—I’d like you to mock up a decal for the main beam of the plow that says Wheel Horse PP-10HD in the old font if that is too much for one side (that has a long beam!) we could put the “Wheel Horse” on one side and the model number on the other... Sarge 3,462 #106 Posted January 29, 2018 @Vinylguy - you let the cat out of the bag - now we need coffee cups , lol . Nice 'puter setup - good idea using the twin screens but with my eye sight I'd be cross-eyed in less than a minute, bad enough on this laptop... ACman 7,505 #114 Posted January 29, 2018 @Vinylguy Terry is a genius when it comes to designing and making decals ! Let me know when you have a little time to kill as I have some ideas. Let’s just say that my 1995 520 Wheel-a-Matic has a identity crisis sitting next to the 1075 . I think a 2075 Wheel-a-Matic decal would be even more of a throwback to the 65 .

My Granddaughter Brooklyn ( Little B ) is 4 foot nothing in height but has giant heart and is a little thief on the floor. Her 5th grade team is was 31 and 0 in the traveling conference they play in. tonight however they suffered their first loss this year to a sixth grade all-star team from Peoria IL. They originally did not want to come to play a fifth grade team they figured they would be no competition for them. Our kids played them tough but fell 28 to 25. Very proud of them considering the girls they played were older much bigger and stronger. Go Lady Giants!!! Hoping she will have a growth spurt before High School. But she is perfect to me. the second picture is her checking out the quilt my mother made for her this year. thanks for letting me gloat guys. Now back to tractor talk. PeacemakerJack 10,670 #117 Posted January 29, 2018 Thanks Terry for sharing about your grand daughter and I love the family centeredness of many of you on this forum. This thread is perfect for it too considering that this is a multi generational thing as is evidenced by the pics and videos above. Congrats to little B on a great season! Sorry to hear they lost tonight but still awesome that they played tough and made it a close game!!! Love the work on Richie’s “stickers” too—those look sweet!
19richie66 16,879 #118 Posted January 29, 2018 Family is what it’s all about. Let’s face it. Life is better when you have good people around you to share it with. Good times, bad times. There’s a song in there somewhere 2 1
PeacemakerJack 10,670 #119 Posted February 1, 2018 (edited) Hey Terry @Vinylguy dad has finished all his fabrication work on his Plow for Clyde and here is what he has come up with... because of the coulter bracket he needs “the wheel horse” decal that you created above separated from the “PP-10HD”. He would like a set for each side of the plow beam. You have the dimensions written on the above photo. The Land Wheel bracket only would allow for a 1”x5” decal. If that isn’t enough space to make something look right, then we can leave that off. But if you think that you can come up with something that looks good in that size, let’s see it. Then—dad restored a Wheel Horse disc last summer that is a show only piece. He shows it on his 875. It had factory decals when he got it. He would like replacements for those. One decal for the back edge saying “Wheel Horse” like this... The other little decal is apparently a serial number. If you don’t have the font on that, I can see if he took a picture of the decal... PeacemakerJack 10,670 #120 Posted March 8, 2018 I’ve been gone on a missions trip to the Philippines for several weeks but we have had some really decent weather back at home. Dan @Achto took advantage of that to do a bunch of painting. Apparently my dad did too... after mocking everything up with his adjustable “land wheel” setup he completely disassembled the plow. He sent many of the pieces to the sand blaster to clean them up. then he primed and painted all the pieces replacing any fasteners that needed to be changed out. Now it is all back together and waiting a set of Terry’s top notch decals! it really turned out nice but the real test will be dropping it in the ground this summer. Dad has such an eye for detail and this plow exhibits that... Next up—repainting the sheet metal on Clyde before the summer show/plow season begins. 2

Achto 26,501 #123 Posted March 8, 2018 Top notch work!! That set up looks great, can't wait to see it in action. Might have to do some plagiarizing on his design. 1

Plow season can’t come fast enough for this “plow dog” especially with some of the “new” equipment in the circle! Caleb even wants to mount up a set of AG’s on JackRabbit and give it a go... Clyde should be a formidable “mule” for sure.
PeacemakerJack 10,670 #125 Posted August 24, 2018 Dad has been busy as usual! He never lets the grass grow under his feet. When Caleb bought JackRabbit it had a 48” blade that came with the package deal. Dad showed some interest in it and Caleb said that he would sell it to grandpa cheap if he wanted it. It needed some work but Dad was up to the task. He had to do a little fabrication work for the lift arm but the rest of the figment was plug and play. As you can see, dad has a gravel drive and so he needed skid shoes. I had a really nice set on an old Cub blade that I had hung on to. I told dad that he could have those. He cleaned the blade bare and then welded custom brackets for the adjustable shoes. They turned out looking really good and are highly functional. I like them because they have such a large contact area with the ground. Should work really well in those “fast passes” Primed and painted it all up! Dad likes to do everything top notch! Good pattern for me and Caleb to follow. New fasteners and hook it up! Now dad has a summer and winter “plow” tractor!!! 3
